You've got about 20 minutes until the toss - stick the kettle on and settle yourselves in.
David Saker, former England and now Australia bowling coach, is having a good old laugh with James Anderson, while the Australia fast bowlers lurk in the background.

What a letdown for English fans that Jackson Bird isn't playing again this Test.

Brett Lee has just been talking about Mitch Starc's brother, Brandon, who is an Australian high jumper and represented his country at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
These talented sporting families. Makes the rest of us look bad.

The umpires will inspect the pitch shortly to determine when they can carry out the toss.
The players are out - James Anderson is measuring out his run-up while Mitch Starc and Pat Cummins take some advice from Darren Lehmann.

Shane Warne made his debut on this ground in 1992, when he was 22. He took 1-150 against India.
We're saving this text, Chris, and we'll bring it back on the final day. Keep a hat at the ready.

If Crane gets 10 wickets on debut I'll eat his one cap.

The covers are coming off!
Such a shame that you can't see the full beauty of Dan Norcross' shirt in that photo.
Here it is, in all it's glory.
I used to have a shower curtain in that pattern.

The view from the TMS box. Deep backward square, or deep extra cover, depending on which end the bowling is at.

Mason Crane has already come in for a lot of stick on social media. I hope he proves everyone wrong. What was he supposed to do, say no when they selected him?

Meanwhile, in one-day news, Australia have dropped all-rounder Glenn Maxwell for the five-match series that begins on 14 January.
Maxwell averages 20.68 in his past 21 ODIs and has taken only three wickets.
"We want consistent performances from him," said captain Steve Smith.
"If he keeps switched on, trains well and focuses on basics more than expansive things, that will help him have consistency and if he's doing that, you want him in the team."

It was drizzle; it has probably turned to mizzle, which is an improvement.
It's been a difficult tour for England captain Joe Root as he's dealt with a few off-field palavas.
While they've been in Australia, England have been accused of having a drinking culture and have been merrily ribbed by the local press.
When asked what he could have done differently, Root said: "Made sure no-one is headbutting anyone and people were more sensible off the field on the back of what happened in the summer.
"There's definitely stuff we'll take from this trip and make sure we don't make those mistakes again."
Have a watch below.

Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special
Trevor Bayliss should know about this pitch. I bumped into him the other day and he said it will have something for the quicks early on and it will spin later. It will do something for everyone at some point.
England's last Test victory at the SCG came in January 2011, when they won by an innings and 83 runs to secure a 3-1 series win.

Crane to get 10 wickets on debut & Stoneman to get 100. And England win final Ashes Test match on tour. What a way to finish off.
