    This is a compelling victory for England - they have played a lot better today.

    It was a complete one-day performance and they just pushed New Zealand off the park.

    A word also for England captain Eoin Morgan, who hit an attacking and entertaining 62 to ensure his side didn't falter when they fell to 86-3.

    He showed plenty of nous to put England well ahead of the game in a stand of 88 with Ben Stokes, who calmly saw out the victory alongside Jos Buttler.

    Congratulations England - that is thoroughly deserved. They have comfortably gone about their business - they hit the ball nice and powerfully. New Zealand are going to have to work very hard to match this level of performance.
