England have found the length they've been searching for in away Tests for about two years.
Williamson 16, Watling 5
Into Kane Williamson's pads goes Stuart Broad, and Williamson thrusts his bat forward to try and keep the England bowler out.
This has been a terrific spell from Broad. Kane Williamson steers the ball past Mark Stoneman at short leg, and then he and BJ Watling go charging through for three.

Stuart Broad is now level with Curtly Ambrose on 405 Test wickets - joint 14th all time.
Wasim Akram is next on 414.

There's a half-hearted shout from Mark Wood and co as he jags one back in to Kane Williamson, but it's hit him high on the thigh and it's trailing down leg.
Williamson, annoyed with himself for missing that, then hustles a single from the final ball of the over.

Can’t help thinking that if Broad had bowled this length in the 75 Test matches that he’s opted to go needlessly short, he’d have 550 wickets by now.
Broad 6-3-14-3
Kane Williamson takes the wise option of working a single off Stuart Broad where he can, as the England bowler drops a tad short.
BJ Watling then hops up onto his toes and gets off the mark with a drive that races away for three.

Alex Stockton: Isn’t Stuart Broad meant to be past it? Still looks OK to me.
Jack Merrylees: He's having 'one of those spells' !
Eric Gresswell: Best spell of English bowling in a long time, absolutely loving this.
Wood 2-1-1-0
A peach from Mark Wood, getting the ball to slide past Kane Williamson's outside edge as he pushes out to defend.
Williamson hops onto the back foot and pulls a single from the final ball of the over.

Freddie Wildblood: 58 all out must be looking pretty appealing and optimistic to NZ batsmen right about now...
Jack Blackburn: This is delightful and, if I squint, I can pretend it’s the Ashes.
Broad 5-3-10-3
BJ Watling is the new man in and plays out the four remaining balls. A wicket maiden for Broad, who has been very impressive so far.

Very good from Stuart Broad. He's managed to get the ball to pitch in line, bring it back and straighten to the left-handed Nicholls, and he's beaten the inside edge. It's difficult to manage the seam movement when you're facing a bowler of that pace.
Nicholls lbw Broad 0 (NZ 17-4)
And out it is.
Tremendous work from Stuart Broad, getting the ball to move back in to the left-hander from over the wicket and past the inside edge of Henry Nicholls' loose drive.
Ball tracking shows it came in enough that it would have hit the top of off stump.
A fourth wicket for England, a duck for Nicholls and New Zealand are reeling.
No bat on it and that was moving back into the stumps. This should be out...

That looks very close. As long as it's pitched in line.
Broad gets it through Nicholls' defences and onto the pads.
Big appeal, especially from Bairstow, but not given.
England send it upstairs...

Alastair Cook has overtaken Allan Border in the list of most fielding catches in Tests.
He's now joint ninth with Mark Taylor on 157.
Mark Wood, in his first bowl in Test cricket since July last year, pings through a tidy maiden.
He sends down an 86mph bouncer, which Kane Williamson tucks himself underneath, to round off the over.
James Anderson is going to take a breather. He's got superb figure this morning of 4-1-7-1.
Here's Mark Wood.

England have used the new ball brilliantly, probing away just outside off stump.
