What a bizarre way of being run out.
Dhawan run out (Roy) 10 (Ind 22-2)
That's naff from Shikhar Dhawan.
No dive, no real sense of urgency - he ended up dropping his bat as he came across the popping crease. Jason Roy swooped in at point and hammered the ball in to Eoin Morgan, who fumbled, but still managed to whip the bails off in time.
Now then.
This might be out. Shikhar Dhawan doesn't slide his bat and ,as the bails come off, it looks as though the batsmen's foot is behind the line...
Hello, we're having a look upstairs.
Jason Roy thinks he's made a slight mess of a run out attempt, but he wants a look anyway.
A change for England - here's Liam Plunkett.
Oh! Alex Hales! That's a bad bit of fielding by the England man down on the boundary, letting a thump from Shikhar Dhawan burst through his hands and into the rope for four. Jake Ball looks thrilled.
He hammers in a short ball and Dhawan pulls it into the air where it hangs about, teasing Eoin Morgan, before dropping a few paces in front of him.

Starting cricket at 9am tomorrow to be done for England in the World Cup. Anyone else?
Graham, Billericay
Dhawan 3, KL Rahul 4
A little push through the covers brings KL Rahul three, before the same man gets beaten by a Willey slower ball to end the over.
KL Rahul gets off the mark with an awkward drive, before David Willey pleads with the umpire to get rid of Shikhar Dhawan.
It's a decent delivery but it's angling down the leg side, and the umpire shakes his head.
KL Rahul, who made an unbeaten 101 from 54 balls at Old Trafford, is in at three.

Well bowled, Jake Ball. Rhot had lined that up the ball before. Buttler had three or four yards to come forward to take a comfortable catch.
Rohit c Buttler b Ball 5 (Ind 7-1)
That'll be that, then.
Rohit Sharma never really looked comfortable, cover drive for four aside, and he slaps a Jake Ball short ball tamely up into the air. Three fielders converge, but it's Jos Buttler who takes the decisive step forward to take the catch.

Into the hip goes Jake Ball, and Rohit Sharma comes charging through for a leg bye, before Shikhar Dhawan gets himself off the mark.
Shot! That'll be the first boundary of the day, Rohit standing tall and clumping a drive through the covers for four.
Jake Ball, on T20 debut, will take the next over.

James Anderson and Michael Vaughan are stuck on the M4.
Ooft! David Willey gets one to swing past an attempted whip from Rohit, who pokes at the pitch in confusion.
That's followed by a huge appeal for lbw as Rohit tries to scoop. Willey likes it, Morgan doesn't, Rohit gets a single and the umpire tries to end the over before remembering there's another ball left.
A quiet start, then...
It is loud in Cardiff, and they're not cheering for England.
David Willey has the ball in his hand, and the first ball of the innings is a dot.

The long square boundaries would suit the spinner, but England are more confident with having an extra seamer.
Here we go then, fireworks going off into a bright blue sky as England make their way out.
Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma will open for India.
