    Shrubsole 4-1-27-1

Katherine Brunt will bowl the last over - just the five bowlers used by England today.

Shrubsole returns, Hayley Jensen joins Amelia Kerr, and the latter manages to swipe a four over extra cover to lift NZ's score to 124 with nine balls left.

Here's one for all you aspiring third umpires. Would you have given Amelia Kerr out here?!

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18 overs)

    Kasperek c Taylor b Ecclestone (NZ 118-8)

Another one falls - having swept a four just past the keeper, Kasperek gets a faint edge to Ecclestone and it's snaffled by the lightning-quick hands of Sarah Taylor behind the stumps.

Ecclestone finishes with 2-26 from her four overs... can NZ even survive the full 20 overs?

  5. NZ 114-7published at 17 overs

    Hazell 4-0-20-2

Leigh Kasperek may find Chelmsford familiar - born in Scotland, she had a spell playing for Essex, before later relocating down under and switching her international allegiance from Scotland to New Zealand.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.5 overs

    Peterson b Hazell 7 (NZ 113-7)

Peterson comes down the wicket for a leg-side slog, takes her eye off the ball and... you know the rest. You miss, I hit, says Dani Hazell, and she has her second wicket.

I think 140's a realistic target for New Zealand, but it's more likely to be mid-130s. They'll be kicking themselves after the start they had. You hope they're not nervous about being bowled out as they were the other day as they need to take some higher-risk options because I can't see them winning with 140.

  8. NZ 110-6published at 16 overs

Katherine Brunt's back, Peterson takes a stride forward and hammers a four to deep mid-wicket. Brunt yells an lbw appeal next ball but that's not out. Peterson takes aim at the leg-side fence again, Danni Wyatt loses it in the sun and can't take the catch but blocks the boundary.

It may be too close to give out... but I'm not a third umpire!

There's a lesson for you, Amelia Kerr. Dive or stretch!

  11. Not outpublished at 15 overs

    NZ 104-6

Close - but not out. Kerr survives. George finishes with 1-31 from four.

(She's been joined by Anna Peterson, by the way. All these wickets make it very hectic!)

If her bat's on the line when the bail comes out, it's out. It's very close.

  13. Third umpirepublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 1 July 2018

A risky second run, they're going upstairs to check as Amelia Kerr stretches to make her ground, but has Sarah Taylor removed the bails first?

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.4 overs

    Watkin c Jones b George 5 (NZ 102-6)

Another big wicket - the returning Katie George digs it in short, Jess Watkin goes for the big blast over mid-wicket but picks out Amy Jones on the boundary.

  15. WATCH: Ecclestone bowls Batespublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 1 July 2018

This was a big wicket - Suzie Bates bowled by Sophie Ecclestone.

New Zealand would have felt they were in control at the halfway stage, but it's a big ask now for an inexperienced pair, though I really like Jess Watkin who looks a fine talent.

  17. NZ 98-5published at 14 overs

    Shrubsole 3-1-17-1

Two wickets in two balls (from to different bowlers) means NZ have two new batters, neither of whom have faced a ball - Amelia Kerr came in to replace Satterthwaite, but it's Green's replacement Jess Watkin facing. I'm quite looking forward to seeing her bat after an entertaining cameo at Bristol.

Wakin manages a single, Kerr can't beat the infield - so Shrubsole's third over has brought just one run, and one wicket.

That's poor from Maddy Green, she didn't really go through with the shot and Heather Knight doesn't drop those.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13.1 overs

    Green c Knight b Shrubsole 8 (NZ 97-5)

A change of bowling brings immediate profit for England as Green spoons Shrubsole into the air for an easy catch for the England skipper at extra cover.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13 overs

    Satterthwaite lbw b Hazell 19 (NZ 97-4)

This had been coming - Amy Satterthwaite survives a strong lbw appeal from Dani Hazell early in the over when she misses with a sweep shot, doesn't learn from her mistake and is given out when the same happens on the last ball of the over.
