    That is a massive moment.

Moeen Ali had looked unstoppable out there, but he gets under a Zahir Khan delivery and scoops it to James Faulkner at mid-off.

For a man who's never batted in the T20 Blast before, Tom Fell's looking very comfortable at the crease.

He drives Matt Parkinson down long off for the only boundary of the leg-spinner's first over, Worcestershire taking nine runs in total.

Worcestershire's run-rate in that first six overs was 9.33 and their tournament run-rate in their first six overs of an innings has been 9.34, so they're bang on form.

  4. Postpublished at 6 overs

Worcestershire Rapids 56-1 v Lancashire Lightning

Lancashire's fielding is costing them a lot of runs this morning.

James Faulkner allows a pressure-relieving boundary to Tom Fell as the ball splits his hands at point, before Fell clips Toby Lancashire down to fine leg for four more.

Worcestershire score 56 runs in the powerplay, with only this Faulkner wicket to show for Lancashire's efforts.

  5. Postpublished at 5 overs

Worcestershire Rapids 47-1 v Lancashire Lightning

Jordan Clark comes into the attack for the first time.

It's a decent start for the right-arm seamer with just seven runs allowed, though I'm sure Lancashire would love to have a second wicket before the end of the powerplay.

Moeen Ali has 38 of the Rapids' 47 runs.

Moeen Ali has been loving his old home ground at Edgbaston this season.

In the T20 international here for England against Australia in June, he came in late on in the England innings and never faced a ball.

But, for Worcestershire, with his blue strip on, he has already hit two tons.

The first, 20 days before that England game, was in the final One-Day Cup group game against Warwickshire. He made 114 off 75 balls.

The second in the final T20 Blast group game against the Bears. This time, he hit 115, taking just 56 balls.

And he so far looks in the sort of form to blast another one here.

  7. Postpublished at 4 overs

Worcestershire Rapids 40-1 v Lancashire Lightning

This is great bowling from James Faulkner.

There isn't much swing for the seamers out there, but Faulkner's variations are keeping Worcestershire's batsmen in check.

Only three runs from the over to go with Joe Clarke's wicket.

It's a trademark slower ball by Faulker, out of the back of the hand. Clarke was trying to follow on from Moeen's aggression and was deceived in the air.

    Lancashire needed that!

James Faulkner gets the first wicket of the day, bowling Joe Clarke with a slower ball out of the back of his hand.

Tom Fell is the new man in for his first ever competitive Twenty20 innings.

It's a risk putting spin on early on against Moeen with the field up. It's a frenetic start by Lancashire, there have been a few misfields and Moeen has taken advantage of some poor deliveries.

A bit of leg-spin in the third over as Lancashire skipper Liam Livingstone brings himself into the attack.

He gets away with a very full first ball, but a full toss is then hammered for four by Moeen Ali.

That opens the floodgates, as Ali smashes the third ball down the pitch for six before flaying three more fours to the boundary.

  12. Postpublished at 2 overs

Worcestershire Rapids 14-0 v Lancashire Lightning

Australia's James Faulkner is on at the other end as Lancashire double up on left-arm seam to start the game.

It's a tidy over, mixing his pace and length nicely as only five singles are allowed.

It might have been just the three runs, but a couple more errors in the field help Worcestershire keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Toby Lester has the ball to start the first semi-final.

Joe Clarke gets off the mark with a single into the leg-side, before Moeen Ali drives to the cover boundary with a bit of help from Jordan Clark, who dives over the ball.

Ali follows up with a sweetly hit shot down the ground to long-off for four more.

What a moment for Tom Fell.

The 24-year-old has never batted in a Twenty20 game, but he is third in the batting order for Worcestershire as he comes in for Callum Ferguson.

No such surprises from Lancashire, who bring in captain Liam Livingstone for all-rounder Steven Croft in the only change to their quarter-final line-up.

Worcestershire: Ali, Clarke, Fell, D'Oliveira, Cox, Whiteley, Barnard, Parnell, Mitchell, Wood, Brown.

Lancashire: Davies, Buttler, Lilley, Livingstone, Jennings, Vilas, Clark, Faulkner, Lester, Parkinson, Khan.

Lancashire have won the toss and will bowl first.

Worcestershire will be hoping for something similar to last year's first semi-final, when Birmingham batted first and posted an unassailable 175-9 en route to the final.

    Worcestershire's Patrick BrownImage source, .

If a poll had been conducted back in early April asking cricket followers which bowler would take the most T20 Blast wickets ahead of Finals Day, it's likely that very few would have come up with the name Patrick Brown.

But the 20-year-old, who had only played half a dozen T20 games before this season, has been the surprise spearhead for Worcestershire Rapids, who are appearing at Finals Day for the first time.

His tally of victims is three more than any other bowler in the competition, even though 3-21 against Notts are his best figures, and they have come at a cost of just 14 runs each.

Finals Day will be a test of Brown's temperament as well as his bowling skills, but Lancashire's batting line-up would be well advised not to underestimate him.
