You have to give these two credit - they've been pretty selective about their strokes.

  2. WI 71-4published at 31 overs

Shimron Hetymer shuffles deep into his crease and works Moeen Ali off his pads, before Moeen drifts a beauty through Roston Chase's defences.

A scampered single rounds off the over.

It's just a frustrating partnership for England. These always tend to happen when you're close to a big win.

    Oh, and again!

This is another low delivery that just cuts Roston Chase in half, sneaking past his pads and somehow avoiding the off stump. Wood can't believe that's missed and, to be honest, neither can I.

Chase ducks himself underneath the inevitable bouncer before hustling a couple of runs past Jennings at square leg.

  5. WI 67-4published at 29.1 overs

Roston Chase jumps into the air and thrusts his bat down as a Mark Wood delivery stays low, and then has a wry grin on his face.

That wasn't dissimilar to the way he got out in Antigua, when Stuart Broad got a ball to trickle through his defences and demolish his stumps.

I can't see the advancement in Keaton Jennings' career from not playing county cricket from the start of the season.

If you've got a problem the easiest time to work on it is over the winter when there's no pressure and you can get all the time you need in the nets.

But what does it say about county cricket if he doesn't play? He's more important than county cricket?

"Catch that!" says Jonny Bairstow as Roston Chase fends Moeen towards short leg. Unless Keaton Jennings was lying under Chase's nose, there's no way he's getting hold of that.

Chase sends a nice drive rolling away through the covers for a couple of leisurely runs.

This is a little loose from Mark Wood, fizzing two of his first three deliveries down the leg side as Shimron Hetymer leaves the ball well alone.

Hetymer whirls his wrists to hoick the ball off his pads, but a mistimed pull lands just in front of the man jogging around on the boundary.

There's a big case for Ian Bell being brought back if he scores runs at the start of the season. The selectors know it'll be a stop gap, it's a short term looking after the here and now and protecting the batsman of the future.

Bringing them into the Ashes could do more damage, exposing them to a fine attack, rather than putting someone like Ian Bell back in who would bring the stability at number three.

Pete Exley: As a gay cricketer sidelined having come out to his team, Root's handling of Gabriel's comments has put a huge smile on my face and made me so proud to have an ally like him representing my country's team. Cricket and sport as a whole should take note. Thanks, Joe!

That is a belter of a delivery from Stuart Broad, angling in and then just, somehow, zipping past the outside edge.

There's definitely some extra bounce there for the England seamer, and Chase rather edgily sees off the final few balls.

Half an appeal from behind the stumps as Moeen drifts a delivery into Shimron Hetymer's pads, but a thick inside edge has saved him there.

Hetymer drives through mid-wicket and Joe Root leaps on the ball to stop it racing away for four, and the batsman comes dangerously close to chopping on as the over comes to an end.

Not a lot to report. Just a series of singles, with no huge spin for Mo.

Time for a change of pace.

Moeen Ali will replace James Anderson, who has figures of 3-16.
