You wouldn't even say that was half a chance.

It would have been a fantastic catch.

Jos Buttler's dropped another one - but this would have been one almighty catch!
It was a full-blooded thwack from Shane Dowrich and Jos Buttler, fielding at mid-wicket, is so quick to react. He throws himself to his left like he's a goalkeeper going after a penalty, and somehow gets his hand to the ball. It's been hit so hard, though, that is near impossible to cling on.
Moeen's going to tie up an end and let Root rotate his seamers at the other, by the looks of things.

There has now been 36 runs from wides in this Test match - an all-time Test record.
Ben Stokes sends down a no ball and a wide first up, before he locates his radar.
Roston Chase slams his bat down on a full delivery to end the over.
Ben Stokes will replace Mark Wood for a little bit.

Nothing was happening really. There were a couple of play and misses and balls keeping low but an innocuous delivery gives England the breakthrough.
You never take on Joe Denly's arm, that's the word in county cricket.
Target 485
Oh, ouch. Keaton Jennings has just been winded by Roston Chase, who stepped back into his crease and tried to whip a four away.
There's turn for Moeen, but Chase plays a horrible swish and gets away with it as the ball sails over the leg side and into the boundary rope for four.

Mark Roddan: Cleaning Sir Ian’s shoes. As you can see, the great man was thoroughly disinterested.
Shane Dowrich is the new man at the crease.
Good keeping by Jonny Bairstow but my word, what a throw from Joe Denly.
Absolute pinpoint accuracy to get it towards the stumps and make it easy for Bairstow to collect the ball.

He absolutely demolished the stumps.

It's really good work from Jonny Bairstow. Why on earth were they trying to run three there!?!
Hetmyer run out (Denly) 19 (WI 76-5)
Out!
This is really excellent fielding from England. Roston Chase had clipped a rank Mark Wood full toss down through point and away towards the boundary. There was an easy two but, for some reason, Chase and Shimron Hetmyer decide to go for three. Joe Denly gathers, pings the ball straight back to Jonny Bairstow, who throws down the stumps. Hetmyer was just dawdling, and it's cost him.
This is out by a mile.
What a throw from the boundary - and a tidy bit of keeping by Jonny Bairstow!

That is out!
Hello!
I think Shimron Hetymer has been run out here. We're going upstairs.
Mark Wood's not quite found his line yet, as Shimron Hetmyer clips him easily off his hip for one.
Joe Root jogs over for a chat with his bowler while Ben Stokes tries, in vain, to get the ball changed.

Coop_dog: August 2009. The Oval. Trott has just hit a century on debut. The Ashes are coming home. We are in a celebratory mood, and bumped into Mike Gatting in a nearby pub. He was happy to pose for a photo, but not so keen on a kiss.
