We often talk about batting partnerships, but it's easy to forget bowling partnerships. Stokes and Rashid dramatically halted West Indies' progress

Dual spin for England now with Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali bowling in tandem.

It means that Shimron Hetmyer has donned a maroon floppy hat. Heroic.

Jos Buttler fancies this new approach of trying to take quick single post-Gayle is going to lead to a run out, shouting at the close fielders to be on their toes.

Another fine over from Rashid, just three singles from it.

    I'd say no, James.

The way Gayle is batting does not fit in with how England play by putting the fielding side under pressure by rotating the strike, while still hitting more than enough boundaries.

Point for debate: Would Gayle get into this England side?

Darren Bravo and Shimron Hetmyer scamper two off the final ball of the over. Excellent running.

"Yeah, but six is more than two," mutters Chris Gayle to himself in the dressing room.

There is indeed a spike as the ball passes the bat and the decision is overturned.

Darren Bravo was rightly certain he'd hit it. On we go.

Moeen Ali gets one to straighten from round the wicket at Darren Bravo and hits the pads.

    Big appeal - and given!

    Bravo reviews straight away though...

I like how the fire engine is parked with a decent view of play.

  10. WI 127-3published at 27 overs

    Bravo 8, Hetmyer 4

Adil Rashid drops short and Shimron Hetmyer gets off the mark with a cut shot.

Substitute fielder Joe Denly sprints a mile to make a superb diving stop and save the boundary. Just a couple for Shimron.

West Indies pick up four singles otherwise, six from the over.

Ooh. Ben Stokes sends down a slower ball and Shimron Hetmyer nearly chips it straight back to the all-rounder.

Another lofted short hangs up invitingly but falls short of Stokes off the final ball. That's a wicket maiden.

England have generally bowled very well so far today.

Hello, by the way. Turns out me taking over was bad luck for Shai Hope.

Here is new man Shimron Hetmyer...

    Don't hit it there, Shai!

Ben Stokes bangs it in short, Shai Hope goes for the pull shot but smacks it straight to Jonny Bairstow at deep square leg.

Hope was hitting into the breeze, unlike his almighty six in the previous over, and did get nearly enough on it.

He would've been better getting on top of that and hitting it down. A bit of a gift.

That shot from Hope which landed on the first tier of the West Indies balcony was helped by a strong breeze across the ground

Brilliant from Adil Rashid. His first ball goes for six. His next five cost just one run.

That's me done for a bit. Jack Skelton will take you through the business end of the innings.

    My word.

The tiniest bit of shoe has saved Shai Hope. He'd got about half a centimetre's worth of white shoe behind the line as Jos Buttler whipped the bails off.

Has Hope got his tippy toes behind the line...?

Has Jos Buttler stumped Shai Hope?

    Hello!

That's a bit too full from Adil Rashid and again, Shai Hope frees his arms and launches the ball into his dressing room.
