Just temporarily, it has absolutely smashed it down here. For all of my love for Southampton earlier in the day, relatively few of the seats provide shelter for the elements. There's no concourse underneath, either, so you're struggling without a brolly.
I think we'll be back out fairly soon - it's already brightened up above the ground.
Let's have a look at some highlights from the match so far, shall we?

It's irritating and is spoiling the fun.
It is tipping it down now.
Out comes the hover cover. Some DJ with a good sense of irony is playing Rihanna's 'Umbrella' to lift the mood.

I think this is going to be a short delay. It shouldn't cause any problem for the outfield.
And off we go.
The brollies are going up in the crowd but we're staying out there for the time being.
The umpires are getting a bit fidgety but there's a big bit of blue sky behind the Ageas Bowl, and it might just be a passing shower. I am, sadly, no meteorologist.
It's raining...

Roy looks frustrated and sometimes when this happens, he tries to force the pace a little. He needs time at the crease, though, after missing so many matches with injury in the last few weeks.
A bit top-edgy from Joe Root, through his shot a little too early, but it's short of the waiting Oh fielder as Haris Sohail continues.
Oh, shot! Jason Roy has had enough of this nurdling nonsense. He takes a step down and launches Sohail over extra cover for a one-bounce four.

The England innings is sedate, but characterized by moments of brutality.
Roy 77, Root 26
Jason Roy has been becalmed a touch but he and Joe Root rotate the strike, tippy-tapping singles here and there to start the over.
Hasan Ali has an optimistic inquiry for lbw against Root as the England man misses a skid, but that's thwacked him at about groin height. No dice.
Here's Hasan Ali.

We were talking about South Africa bowler Kagiso Rabada earlier, who has a back problem and could miss the start of the World Cup. England's first game of the tournament is against South Africa on 30 May. You think things are starting to fall nicely for England...
Run rate 6.04
Dragged down from Haris Sohail, and Joe Root gets down low to clobber a four through mid-wicket.
This isn't bang on the money from Sohail, his next delivery drifting down the leg side, and Root paddles it away to pick up a cheeky couple of runs.
Cheers Jack.
Yes, it's a pitch made for batting. Yes, Pakistan haven't bowled great. But my word, sometimes England make it look as though they're going to absolutely breeze through the World Cup.
Anyway. Here's Haris Sohail.
England will want 350 minimum. Could they get 400?
Here is Amy Lofthouse to help you find out...

The death overs seem to start in the middle of the innings these days.
