Two wides in the over from Liam Plunkett - one for width and one for height - and then Asif Ali clubs him down the ground for four!
Into the air goes Sarfaraz - but it's going to be four!
It was a swinging, hoicking, leg side stroke from the Pakistan captain, but he managed to get the ball between the two men on the boundary.

Regarding the attack looking a bit toothless. The same could be said for the Test side too except for when we play on a green deck in favourable English conditions. Bar Jimmy and Stokes on his day we don't have bowlers who have the ability to make things happen and the variety of what Archer could be bring. Competition for places is never a bad thing either.

Into the air goes Asif Ali, flicking Chris Woakes off his hip, but the ball drops short of any loitering fielders.
Sarfaraz unfurls a tennis forehand to swat a Woakes short ball away - oh, and then Jos Buttler lets the ball slip past his legs for a couple of byes! That could have been four byes were it not for Liam Plunkett's fine dive on the boundary,

At the death, Chris Woakes will generally run up with the ball in his left hand to disguise the delivery, whether it's a slower ball, cross seam or a stock ball.
Sarfaraz Ahmed gets Asif Ali back on strike, but the two are limited to a flock of singles.
Here's Chris Woakes.

They will but they have done very well to get to this position. They perhaps need a bit more power in their middle order.

Pakistan are going to need something very special from here.
Need 98 runs from 60 balls
This is terrific from Liam Plunkett, keeping Sarfaraz Ahmed quiet, and the Pakistan captain narrowly avoids chopping on to his stumps as he steals his first run.
Asif Ali aims down the ground, and the ball drops just short of Chris Woakes at mid-off.
Sarfaraz has come out for a bat.

Gone!
Haris Sohail goes slogging into the off side to Liam Plunkett's first delivery but he doesn't quite time it. Jonny Bairstow, lurking in the deep, has to just shuffle forward to take a straightforward catch.
Hmm. Ben Stokes just pulled off a terrific dive in the deep to cut off that lats ball swipe from Haris Sohail, and he looks to have done his elbow a bit of a mischief.
Liam Plunkett is back into the attack.

Need 100 runs from 66 balls
That's Moeen Ali's spell done - he's got figures of 10-0-66-1, despite Haris Sohail trying to smash him into the stands with the last ball of the over.
An excellent start from Moeen - a couple of dot balls before an inside out drive into extra cover brings Haris Sohail a couple.

Would you like me to write you a note, Jimmy?

I cannot stop thinking about my game tomorrow on this pitch. My hamstring has been tightening up and my back has started to spasm as the game has gone on.
Need 107 runs from 72 balls
It was as though David Willey lost his balance as he dived forward for that catch.
He is furious with himself.
