...And there goes Imad Wasim, right back down the ground and into the stands, courtesy of another huge Jason Roy six.

    How costly will that be?

Well, it's already costing Pakistan a boundary, as Jason Roy rolls his wrists on another short ball and pummels a tasty four through mid-wicket.

Oh dear. That was a simple catch. It was almost coming at him too slowly.

    Oh, WOW.

There are bad drops, there are awful drops, and then there's this one from Shaheen Afridi. This is an absolute dolly. Jason Roy is done over by a short ball from Hasan Ali with his first ball, and he's chipped it straight to Shaheen at mid-off. Shaheen has it in his hands but fumbles it, lobbing the ball up into the air, and he gets nowhere near the rebound as he moves to his left.

My word, what a shot this is from Jonny Bairstow.

He's barely put any effort into the stroke, just taking a ball that's hovering around his hip and lifting it, all bottom hand, over the man on the mid-wicket boundary for six.

    Bairstow 16, Roy 19

Jonny Bairstow tries to get in on the act, nailing a couple of pull shots to some short balls, but Imam-ul-Haq is on the boundary for that very stroke.

He keeps Bairstow to a smattering of singles, before Shaheen Afridi ends the over with a bouncer that goes sailing over Jason Roy's head. Roy isn't impressed that it hasn't been signaled as wide.

    What a hit!

A stonking six from Jason Roy, dancing down the wicket and freeing his arms, that almighty tree trunk of a bat flaying the ball high down the ground and into the opt tier of the media centre.

On these wickets, you've got to make the batsman play a good shot. Whack the pitch as hard as you can and see what happens - don't just float it up.

Oh, hello! Shaheen Afridi reminds Jason Roy what he can do with a delicious delivery that just nips past the edge of his off stump.

Roy, perhaps a touch unsettled, has an unwise swish at a teasing, wide delivery, before Jonny Bairstow hustles a single off his pads.

A drop and whip of the wrists from Jonny Bairstow gets him off the mark, whirling a fine four through square leg.

Bairstow tries to pull his next delivery but the ball sneaks under the bat, leaving the England batsman swishing at fresh air, but a tickle off the hips gives Bairstow his second boundary of the over.
