James Ash: Imagine getting a ticket for a Bristol ODI and then Buttler gets rested. I'd be livid.

Pete Hotchkiss: If I was an England fan turning up to Bristol today, seeing the news we're resting Buttler would have me feeling somewhat short changed.

The fact both sides have gone without their leg-spinners makes me think both sides are worried about their spinners throwing the ball up with these short boundaries. We're going to see a lot of sixes today.

  10. 'Changing order to give boys chance to find form'published at 12:37 British Summer Time 14 May 2019

England captain Eoin Morgan: "It does look like a really good wicket - the boundaries are short here at Bristol and there's a stiff wind so hopefully we can restrict Pakistan. The benefit of knowing what you're chasing down is useful. We're going to change the batting order to give boys a chance to find form - I'm going to drop down to six."

Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed: "We wanted to bowl but it looks like a good batting pitch so hopefully we can put runs on the board. Confidence is high after the way we played in the last match."

  11. Postpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 14 May 2019

England have shuffled their batting order too, presumably to give their batsmen some valuable time at the crease.

Ben Stokes moves up to four, with Moeen Ali at five and Eoin Morgan at six.

  12. Postpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 14 May 2019

Eoin Morgan confirms that there's two changes for England - Joe Denly and Tom Curran come in for the rested Jos Buttler and Adil Rashid.

There's one change for Pakistan too, with Junaid Khan in for Yasir Shah.

  13. England win toss & bowlpublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 14 May 2019

Time for the toss! It's beautiful and sunny in Bristol as Eoin Morgan tosses up the coin. Sarfaraz calls heads, and it's tails.

England win the toss and they're gonna have a bowl first.

I have no words for this. Exceptional work from the England dressing room.

    Hello!

Right, some cold, hard facts - England are 1-0 up in this five-match series, although I suppose it's a four-match series now after rain wiped out the opener at The Oval.

It's 16 days until the World Cup starts and top-ranked England are mixing up their side to work out their best XI.
