A single brings Jonny Bairstow, on 98, on strike...
It just looks as though Joe Root has got a touch of cramp - he pulled up a touch during the last over.
A new bowler is entertaining the arena, in the form of Haris Sohail.
Some energy gel has been brought out for Joe Root.
I can't imagine they taste particularly pleasant. As someone who enjoys sitting down quite a lot, I've never really had the need for one...
England's manhattan is pretty impressive today...
Target 359
Slightly risky from Jonny Bairstow, chopping his bat down on the returning Hasan Ali, but he gets enough bat behind ball to force a couple of runs behind point.
He's on 98...

Why didn't Pakistan realise Jonny Bairstow was scoring so many runs on the on-side and then throw it up outside the off side? He'll probably still smash you for four, but at least have a look...
For half a minute, things were quiet.
Then Jonny Bairstow took a step back and shoveled Faheem Ashraf over the cover fielder and away for four. Glorious batting.

England have been outstanding, they're on fire.
I still can't quite believe the difference in this England team and the one that went to the World Cup four years ago.
It's astonishing how much they've developed and how much smarter they've got with their cricket.
Root 7, Bairstow 92
Dragged down from Imad Wasim, and Joe Root can only hustle it away for a single.
Top edge from Jonny Bairstow, trying to flick Imad Wasim up and over, but it somehow manages to evade any fielders. It was a sort of sweep from Bairstow but he didn't have a clue where the ball ended up.
Joe Root makes up for it by getting down and scooping Imad over Sarfaraz's head for four.

Roy and Bairstow scored 159 from 105 balls. That is the fastest opening partnership of 150 or more in terms of runs per over. They scored at 9.085 runs per over and that beats the previous record held by Brendon McCullum and Jesse Ryder against England in 2008.
A more sedate over from Faheem Ashraf, and England will have to settle themselves with four runs from it.
Eng 171-1
Faheem Ashraf will continue - oh, and he's almost pulled off a terrific caught and bowled!
It's another big push down the ground from Jonny Bairstow but he doesn't quite cling on. Faheem leaps into the air, his left hand stuck out, and it just doesn't quite stay in.

Ex-England captain on TMS
Ben Stokes just needs time in the middle. In the IPL he was used in a role where he only got eight overs at the end of an innings. He didn't get time to build an innings.
With the ball too it is worth England giving Stokes enough overs so he goes into the game against South Africa with confidence.
Target 359
Joe Root is a different sort of aggressive to Roy and Bairstow. They have the big, bludgeoning shots; Root is the one who drops and nudges and nurdles his way through the field, slowly chipping away at the bowler's defences.
He and Bairstow work three singles from the over.
Who'd be a bowler?
Run rate 9.16
Jonny Bairstow might have lost his mate who he opens with, but he's not going to let that slow him down.
A little flick to a leggy delivery picks up another four through fine leg.

Jason Roy's walk back. There can't be many international grounds where the dressing rooms are accessed via a bridge?
