This is a really strange Test match.
England could win it before lunch on the third day, having been bowled out for 85 batting first.
Chris Woakes has 5-15 and counting.
Tim Murtagh, who destroyed England on the opening day, is coming out to bat.

A really good catch. Stuart Thompson wasn't dying wondering and there was a lot of bat speed there. You don't often get a catch low to your right at first slip.
Thompson c Root b Woakes 4 (Ire 36-8)
Five for Chris Woakes!
Honestly, Woakes must wish he could play at Lord's all the time. There's away movement again, tempting Stuart Thompson into a drive, and a thick outside edge goes to Joe Root, who takes a good catch, tumbling to his right.
Target 182
Stand and deliver!
Stuart Thompson doesn't even bother to move as he stands and drives a full Chris Woakes delivery back past the bowler for four.

I'm a massive Chris Woakes fan. But I'm not a fan of having an attack of Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Ben Stokes and Woakes.
However, Jofra Archer might come through four overs tonight but that's very different from 20 overs in a day. Is he worth the risk at Edgbaston?
And if you could guarantee conditions like this then you could play Anderson, Broad and Woakes together.
Here comes Andy McBrine, and he lets the last ball of the over go through to the keeper.

Stuart Broad gets the final say.
Adair b Broad 8 (Ire 32-7)
Aaaand he's bowled next ball!
A loose drive from Mark Adair, a bit of nip back, and Stuart Broad rearranges Adair's stumps. He gives him a friendly stare-off as well.
Hello!
Stuart Broad tries to follow up his bouncer with another one, and Mark Adair almost nonchalantly lofts him square for six. Lovely stuff.

Stuart Broad and James Anderson are opening the bowling in the first Ashes Test, regardless of whoever else is available. Their experience counts for so much on the first morning on an Ashes Test.
Another nasty thwack from Stuart Broad. This time it's Mark Adair who gets hit in the grille as he tries to pull.
It's not been much fun for the Ireland fans.

The pitch has surprised me - I thought it would get lower and slower and spin more. If anything, it's quickened up.
Woakes 6-2-11-4
The campaign to rename Lord's "the house of Chris Woakes" start here.
Twice, he comes perilously close to finding the edge of Mark Adair's bat, before Adair works a single into the leg side.

James Anderson looked a bit grumpy this morning. I think he'd just looked outside - he would've loved to bowl in these conditions.
Target 182
Stuart Broad whizzes a delivery past Stuart Thompson's outside edge to end another lively over.
Mark Adair, who bowled so well yesterday, has dragged himself out to bat.

Oh no! Lunch looks lovely as well - sea bass!
