Australia need nine wickets to win
Jason Roy aims a loose drive, with minimal footwork and the ball nips in past the inside edge. Whew.
He gets one on the pads and tucks it round the corner for a single to rotate the strike.
Shot! Joe Root gets a half volley and punches it through wide mid-off for four. It's there to hit, that's a good shot.

That's nine decisions overturned now, and seven of them have been against Joel Wilson.

You'd have been amazed if that was hitting.
Absolutely shocking from Joel Wilson.
Up there with the worst of his decisions from an all-round poor Test.
It only just hit Joe Root on umpire's call in line with leg stump and was missing by a mile.
Umpiring is really tough and they get too much criticism usually. But this has been a dismal officiating performance.

How can that be out?
Joe Root has been given out lbw by James Pattinson by umpire Joel Wilson.
Root reviews immediately.
Going down leg, surely.
That's better, Joseph.
Captain Root punches off the back foot in front of point for four to get off the mark.
Ooooooft. Joe Root plays and misses at one from James Pattinson that hoops after his passes the bat.
Tim Paine holds up the ball in his glove with a quizzical look on his face and opts against the review.
No nick on it - it just moved so much after passing the bat it momentarily kidded everyone into thinking there must have been an edge.
Root survives.

If you duck and don't hook, he can't get you out. That's all you've got to think.

I believe England can save the day. Will they? I just do not know. They need to believe.
Eek.
Minimum 85 overs remaining
Pat Cummins sends down a sharp bouncer that Jason Roy ducks.
No word from the Australians. I'm kidding, there's loads of chirp.
Jeeeez. Cummins finishes the over with an absolute jaffa. Nipping away at the last minute just outside off. Probably only Steve Smith is good enough to nick that.
That's a maiden.

Australia have only won two Tests in England from a worst position than they were in on the first day of this Test.
In 1888 and 1882, they were 79-8 and 53-8 respectively.

Inspired tactic for Burns to get out early. Now we've got two right handers in Lyon can't possibly get any wickets right?

Roy 9, Root 0
Jason Roy tucks a ball on middle stump into the leg side and picks up a single.
Well it started so well...

This is a big moment. Root is technically our best player.
Roy 8, Root 0
Joe Root defends his first ball back down the pitch.
