  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:02 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

Siddle c Burns b Archer 18 (Aus 225 all out)

Rory Burns has taken an absolute stunner!

This is some catch. Peter Siddle tries to guide it down to third man and makes good connection but Burns dives low to his right and plucks the ball up off the turf.

    An absolute ripper.

I like to see the use of the slower ball - it's very under-used by the faster bowlers.

  3. dropped catch

Hazlewood dropped on 0published at 68.2 overs

Root puts another down! Hazlewood should be out first ball. He gloves a bouncer to first slip but Root is wrong-footed and can't get there.

That was soooo good from Archer. Last man Josh Hazlewood is out.

That must be a great feeling for a bowler to bamboozle a batsman like that.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 68.1 overs

    Lyon b Archer 25 (Aus 224-9)

Bowled him! This one is too good for Nathan Lyon. Jofra Archer cleverly slips in the slower knuckle ball and Lyon is beaten all ends up.

Archer has his second second Test five-wicket haul.

  7. Aus 224-8published at 68 overs

More sweeps than a errr.... Franz Beckenbauer convention? A Victorian terraced street? Any better suggestions?

Australia edge closer to England's total.

  9. Aus 223-8published at 67.3 overs

There's not much rough for Jack Leach to work with. He's tossing it up but the Australia batsmen are happy to sweep.

There's something about this ground - I've seen so many catches dropped at fine leg here. Peter Siddle dropped Joe Root there.

    Trail by 73

We've seen a lot of catches go down in this match.

Jack Leach has the chance to make up for it. He is brought into the attack.

  13. dropped catch

Lyon dropped on 22published at 66.4 overs

This should have been taken, I reckon. Jack Leach is the guilty fielder down at fine leg. He has plenty of time to get in under a Lyon top edge but spills the catch low down.

  14. Aus 220-8published at 66.3 overs

This is both silly and remarkable now. Nathan Lyon steps to the leg side and smashes the ball through the covers. Archer has a wry smile on his face as the ball clatters into the advertising boards.

Australia only trail by 79 runs now. These runs could be crucial.

That was a short-arm jab for six. It was out of the middle of the bat! He'll look forward to watching that again on the highlights.

Eh? Nathan Lyon now chips Chris Woakes for six. It's a lovely pull shot on the swivel. Has he ever hit one that good in his life?

  20. Aus 209-8published at 65.3 overs

Nathan Lyon has just turned into Sachin! He holds the pose after lofting Chris Woakes over mid-off to the boundary.
