Jofra Archer is off celebappealing!
This could either be lbw or caught at short leg if there is an inside edge.
England review.
England need five wickets to win
Oh, Joseph! That's lovely. The successful over ends with one that zips away from the outside edge. Root up to 22 Test wickets now. Handy.

If Marsh wants to progress, he'll have to produce a sweep shot or two. Opposition teams know he hasn't got one so can leave those gaps open in the field.
That would've been the perfect delivery, if he had a sweep in his armoury, to whack it into the open spaces in the field.
It's captain to captain now with Tim Paine at the crease.

Marsh will be cranky with himself for getting out in that manner.
Marsh c Buttler b Root 24 (Aus 148-5)
"Roooooooot." The England skipper makes the breakthrough!
It's not much of a ball, tossed up outside leg stump, but Mitchell Marsh clips it straight to Jos Buttler at short leg.
England edge closer.
Joe Root continues. He's wearing some questionable sunglasses.

Mitch Marsh is playing the bouncer very well, keeping his eye on the ball and swaying away in time.
Wade 50, Marsh 24
Archer is still banging it short to Marsh. The England quick's pace is back up close to 90mph but Marsh looks good. He's ducking and swaying excellently and then when the poor ball comes Marsh clubs it away. Good batting. England have no need to panic but they're being held up.

Robert: My favourite moment of the summer, among many, was Jos Buttler's run out nutmeg of Steve Smith in the World Cup.
Australia need 256 to win
Joe Root leaps in the air in anticipation when Mitchell Marsh flicks one in the air close to short leg. A decent first over from the England skipper.

This is the best Wade has played. He got some nice juicy deliveries early at Edgbaston and his team were already on top. Here he is fighting for his Test career.

Wade has been aggressive and taken the bowling on and so far it's worked.
Matthew Wade loves a sweep. He gets a single and it takes him to 50. He had a good innings at the start of the series and now he's playing another at the end.
It's time for some of Joe Root's part-time spin.
Target 399
A bouncer from Jofra Archer is measured at just 82.6mph at the end of the over. He will be looking forward to a well-deserved rest.

Pitchedoutside: If Smicket is going to be the official word for Steve Smith getting out, how long before it becomes 'the Lemony'?
Shot! This is a good Test match for Mitchell Marsh. He absolutely clobbers a pull shot away for four off Archer.
Joe Root is doing some looseners at first slip...
