  1. Pak 35-2published at 6.4 overs

Now it's Sheldon Cottrell's turn to hurry the batsman, whistling a short ball past Babar Azam, before Babar throws an expansive cover drive at a ball that just shaves past the outside edge.

    There's a bit in this pitch, y'know.

This crowd is dominated by Pakistan fans but when a wicket goes down pockets of West Indies supporters appear. One of those Windies fans shouts “yes Dre Russ! Shake him up” as Russell greats Haris Sohail with a bouncer. He likes the aggression.

    Russell 1-0-2-1

Haris Sohail is welcomed to the crease by another Andre Russell bouncer. Lovely stuff.

The key was the bounce! Russell was bowling a tight line and got lift, Fakhar was hit on his helmet and then down onto the stumps.

    Fakhar b Russell 22 (Pak 35-2)

Fakhar Zaman has lost his wicket and he's going to have a bit of a headache as well.

It's a bouncer from Andre Russell, coming down at 86mph, and it's on to Fakhar quicker than he was anticipating. He top-edges the ball into his helmet, turns his head, and the ball ricochets off the grill and onto the stumps.

Shot of the day. And yes, we're only 26 minutes in.

  9. Pak 33-1published at 5 overs

Sheldon Cottrell strays on to Babar Azam's pads and gets whipped for two, but that's a good comeback after that almighty four first up.

  10. Pak 31-1published at 4.1 overs

That's a horrible full toss from Sheldon Cottrell, and Babar Azam gets his eye in with a stonking cover drive for four.

Terrific atmosphere at Trent Bridge already.

    Fakhar 21, Babar 3

Three dot balls from Jason Holder will cheer him up, but that's an astonishing short-arm jab from Fakhar Zaman to get the ball through deep point for four.

Holder bangs it in a bit shorter and Fakhar uses the bowler's height against him, smacking him through cover for another couple of runs.

A leggy delivery is clipped away for three, and that'll be 10 runs off Jason Holder again.

He's bowled well, Sheldon Cottrell. His pace has increased and he was keeping Imam tight to the stumps and slipped that one down a bit quicker. An important wicket, Imam has been in decent touch.

    Imam c S Hope b Cottrell 2 (Pak 17-1)

    Sheldon Cottrell strikes!

Oh, that's a horrible way to get out. It's trailing down the leg side, Imam-ul-Haq has gone chasing after it, and he gloves it through to Shai Hope behind the stumps.

    Out comes the Cottrell salute...

Both sides pass 300 consistently, the question for me is that West Indies will score quickly, can Pakistan match that rate?

Even if they get 350 someone like Andre Russell could chase that down in 50 overs.

  17. Pak 16-0published at 2.2 overs

You know what we were saying about runs?

Fakhar Zaman rides the bounce from Sheldon Cottrell and plays a tennis swat of a forehand to get the ball over cover for four.

There’s no doubt who this chap is supporting. It feels like it might be harder to find a Pakistan fan who isn’t wrapped in a flag today.

    Oh, HELLO!

Fakhar Zaman absolutely smashes a leggy Jason Holder delivery over square leg and into the stands for the first six of the match. What a shot!
