A huge roar goes up at Trent Bridge from the Pakistan contingent as Fakhar Zaman punches a couple of runs down the ground to get his innings under way.
And with the other new ball, it's the skipper Jason Holder.
Pakistan have won seven of their last nine one-day internationals against the West Indies, including their previous two meetings.
However, West Indies and Pakistan have met 10 times before in the World Cup - and the Windies have won seven of those games, the most wins they’ve registered against a single opponent at the World Cup.
That's a better line from Sheldon Cottrell, beating the outside edge of Imam-ul-Haq with successive deliveries.
Jason Holder briefly considers reviewing it for caught behind but decides against it, and Cottrell ends the over with an excellent yorker.
Whoops.
That'll be a big ol' wide to start things off.
It'll be left-armer Sheldon Cottrell to open the bowling to Imam-ul-Haq...
Here we go, then.
Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq make their way to the middle for Pakistan.
It's national anthem time at Trent Bridge, underneath an overcast sky.
It's going to be a bit grey all day, but hopefully, we'll stay rain free...

West Indies have a wonderful team, they can spring a few surprises in this World Cup. They will do better than most people think.
Andre Russell brings so much to the team, he's a well-rounded cricketer and he will do very well in the tournament.
West Indies captain Jason Holder: "One thing I like coming into this tournament is that every player is in a good frame of mind. Everybody is playing with a smile on their face, and I think that's how we play our best cricket.
"We're fearless, we enjoy what we're doing and we enjoy one another's company. I can safely say within the group we've got that."
Ramiz Raja
Ex-Pakistan captain on TMS
Wahab Riaz got a ticket for the World Cup because he bowls yorkers so well, that's why he's back in. He still has pace and he's extremely impressice in the T20s. Mohammad Amir hasn't had many games under his belt, the bowling attack is short on practice in English conditions.
Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed: "When we came here on the first day and asked the groundsman what is the par score he told us that it's 480!
"Cricket has changed. People used to think that 300 was a par score but it has changed.
"We will have different pitches in the World Cup so if a team scores 300-plus then the other team will also go for that."

The crowd here give all of the players a good cheer as the teams are announced but there’s no doubt who got the biggest cheer: Mr Chris Gayle.
I am so looking forward to seeing Andre Russell and Shimron Hetmyer in action today. West Indies are terrific fun to watch.
West Indies are two-time world champions in this format, having lifted the trophy in 1975 and 1979.
They thumped 421 runs against New Zealand in their final warm-up, going on to win by 91 runs, but they've won just four of their nine one-day matches this year.
Pakistan won the Champions Trophy in England in 2017 and they were World Cup winners back in 1992.
They've been in England longer than most teams, having just played a one-day series against the top-ranked side, which they lost 4-0.
In fact, they're on a 10-match losing streak - and they lost their final warm-up match against Afghanistan just a few days ago.
