  1. Aus 164-2published at 27 overs

That was a speculative review from Afghanistan really. Steve Smith hits a single to complete the over.

It's been a glorified net for David Warner really.

But, it may come down to Net Run-Rate for who reaches the semi-finals. West Indies realised that yesterday.

There is no doubt that Australia are going to win this game but they could have done it quicker. They've gone about it in a very sedate manner.

It did indeed hit the glove. David Warner survives.

I think that's flicked the glove on the way through.

  5. Afghanistan reviewpublished at 26.5 overs

David Warner is hit on the pads as he attempts a reverse sweep. The umpire says no but Afghanistan ask for the review....

Both Australian openers have reached fifty today.

It's the sixth time that's happened in a World Cup match and they've never gone on to win the tournament when it has happened.

  9. Aus 159-2published at 26 overs

So David Warner and Steve Smith are reunited in the middle.

Hamid Hassan also returns to the attack. Smith is able to push the ball to deep point to get off the mark.

Three runs and a wide off the over.

Australia are not going to win this World Cup and I have statistical proof.

The inevitable boos for Steve Smith have started.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 25 overs

Usman Khawaja lbw b Rashid Khan 15 (Aus 156-2)

Did I speak too soon? Usman Khawaja plays down the wrong line to Rashid Khan and is trapped bang in front. Khawaja briefly considers a review but David Warner advises him against it.

  13. Aus 150-1published at 24 overs

David Warner and Usman Khawaja take a single each off the first two deliveries from Mohammad Nabi. That' the 150 up for Australia, edging their way to victory.

Here's that delivery from Gulbadin Naib that disappeared past Mohammad Shahzad for five wides.

It's the slowest ODI fifty that David Warner has hit.

  16. Aus 148-1published at 23 overs

David Warner hits a single next up. It's all very comfortable for Australia. Usman Khawaja sees out the over.

It's been a net for David Warner.

They bowled really well at him early but he's stuck around and he's a good player, let's face it.

  18. 50 runs

50 for David Warnerpublished at 22.1 overs

    Aus 147-1

That's another lovely late cut from David Warner. The ball flies to the boundary to bring up his half-century.

I think the puff has gone out of the sails for Afghanistan now.

I think throughout this World Cup, particularly with the bat, they're going to make a lot of friends.

  20. Aus 142-1published at 22 overs

Mohammad Nabi drops one in short, Usman Khawaja is quick on it and pulls for four. Too easy for the Australian batsman. A single completes another expensive over.
