You have to avoid injuries in this scenario. You have to warm up properly, you have to be careful about diving or sliding on a wet, slippery surface.

When I played for Pakistan we struggled playing in England because it was so cold. We dropped nine or 10 catches, we just couldn't close our hands. As a fielding side we were never comfortable.

The umpires have come out, had a very brief look, and are now heading back into the pavilion.

Aleem Dar had a glance at his watch as he walked off.

It looks like they're starting to remove the covers from the bowlers run-ups again.

Are we set for one of those frustrating days where we're on and off?

Over in Cardiff, Bangladesh are 63-2 chasing 387 to beat England.

Here's the opening wicket to fall and it's a beautiful delivery from Jofra Archer to bowl Soumya Sarkar - watch how far the ball travels after it hits the stumps. Remarkable.

Ramiz Raja has had a look on his phone and he reckons this shower should pass in the next 25 minutes.

Remember, we still had 50 minutes of spare time in the can after the previous delay.

It's getting very, very dark at Taunton.

The floodlights are starting to be powered up.

This is frustrating. Rain stoppages are a challenge for the Asian teams, definitely. In the sub continent if the game is on, it's on. The sun is blistering down 24/7.

Simon Mann reckons that's a protection job. It's not that bad at the moment but we could be about to get a heavy shower so they want to get the ground covered before that happens.

Trent Boult - who has figures of 0-13 from his opening spell of four overs - is coming on.

He's taken a wicket in all of his previous World Cup games, don't forget.

After that break it's Afghanistan who look sharper. It can happen to a fielding side, it takes a bit of time to get warmed up again.

Pre-match Jeremy Coney said Jimmy Neesham needed a good performance today because he'd been leaking runs in New Zealand's opening two games. I imagine this was the type of performance he was hoping for.

It's not his best over with nine runs coming off it - including five leg byes - but he has excellent figures of 3-19 off six overs so far.

Jimmy Neesham will continue at the other end.

The break lasted exactly 25 minutes by the way. So we've still got 50 minutes of spare time to play with if we do get any more interruptions.

Four first ball as Hashmatullah Shahidi drives beautifully to the cover boundary.

Simon Mann has just told us there's a very dark cloud hovering again.

This is the 13th game of a 48-match tournament and we've only had four hundreds - that's not that many, is it? You would expect more.

There has been a lot of innings when players have had the chance to score big. Maybe we have to adjust our expectations.

Here's how Jason Roy brought up the fourth century of the tournament earlier. He decided to clatter into Joel Wilson for good measure too.

All of the ground staff have long cleared off. This is one of my pet peeves with cricket. What are we waiting for? Get on with the game.
