  1. Pak 254-7published at 42 overs

Need 54 runs from 48 balls

Wahab Riaz guides a yorker-length ball away for a single to finish the over. Another big one for Pakistan - 10 from it.

Poor Mickey Arthur. The Pakistan coach seemingly goes through the full gamut of emotions every game.

Wahab Riaz knows about slower balls. He picked that one.

    Target 308

Oh my days. Wahab Riaz picks up the slower ball from Nathan Coulter-Nile and leathers it into the stands behind mid-wicket. A mighty blow.

I am now expecting Wahab to hit the winning runs and pull out a sheet of paper with 'Talk nah, Shoaib' written on it.

Looking at the equation, I am sweating up. Pakistan have the time to win this game. Have they got the wickets?

If Wahab can continue with the magic then they can win this game.

  5. Pak 244-7published at 41 overs

Need 64 runs from 54 balls

Sarfaraz Ahmed muscles one down the ground for one before this Pakistan duo exchange singles.

That's 14 off the over, the Glenn Maxwell gamble not paying off for Australia there.

  6. Pak 241-7published at 40.3 overs

Wahab Riaz now slogs out to mid-wicket - is it six? Is it four? It's neither! Nathan Coulter-Nile makes a superb flying stop to claw the ball back from above the rope.

Wahab was standing and admiring that so only gets one when he should've got two.

  7. 6 runs

    Pak 240-7published at 40.2 overs

Wow! Wahab Riaz leavers it into the stands over long-on. What a hit!

How has that not hit off stump?!

  9. Pak 234-7published at 40.1 overs

It's not how you get them.

Wahab Riaz tries to flay it over mid-wicket and edges it millimetres past the stumps, nutmegging Alex Carey on the way for four.

I think it is worth a gamble to bowl an over of Glenn Maxwell here to get one of his free out of the way. It might be that Wahab Riaz whacks one in the air.

  11. Postpublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 12 June 2019

Hmm. Aaron Finch calls on Glenn Maxwell to bowl the 41st over.

Wahab is playing very sensibly. He played a Test match-style over to get Cummins out of the way.

  13. Pak 230-7published at 40 overs

Need 78 runs from 60 balls

And Wahab survives! Tapping into the gap at mid-wicket off the last for a single.

That's the end of Pat Cummins, another superb bowling display with figures of 10-0-33-3.

Pakistan will be mightily relieved to see the back of him.

  14. Pak 229-7published at 39.1 overs

Sarfaraz takes a single off the first to leave Wahab a potential five balls of Cummins to face.

    Cheers for that, skip.

Finch is trying to finish the game now. He is trying to get it done and dusted before he thinks about bowling Glenn Maxwell or himself again.

Pat Cummins continues into his final over.

If Wahab and Sarfaraz get another 20 or 30 then this crowd is going to get up again.

  18. 6 runs

    Pak 228-7published at 39 overs

Need 80 runs from 66 balls

Even if they fall short, Pakistan are going to tease us all the way.

Wahab Riaz has had enough of tapping singles and needs an even score off the last ball to put Sarfaraz Ahmed on strike next up.

So what does he do? Marmalises Nathan Couter-Nile into the stands over deep square leg. Sure.

Nathan Couter-Nile replaces Mitchell Starc, who has three overs left, worryingly for Pakistan.
