    A Ramiz Raja rant incoming...

This is pretty feckless cricket from Hassan Ali. He's smacked three fours and three sixes with some impressive blows off largely poor balls, but still giving the impression he was one mistake away from falling.

And here is that mistake, a short ball from Kane Richardson that is too close to his body but he can't resist, trying to pull it away and sending it high off the top edge.

Usman Khawaja steadies himself at deep fine leg and takes it. Well it was fun while it lasted but not what Pakistan really needed.

I don't know whether Pakistan are looking at the bigger picture. Hassan needs to restrain himself. He has done a lot of damage in the last few overs he just has to be sensible.

  3. Pak 200-6published at 33.4 overs

Hassan Ali punches through the covers deliciously for four.

Oh hello! Short and wide from Richardson and Hassan leathers an uppercut over the covers for four more.

Can he keep picking the right ball to hit?

Pakistan have not been able to play the pressure moments. After getting to fifty it was so critical for Imam-ul-Haq to get on with his effort.

Pakistan have thrown away such important positions, sometimes being casual and other times reckless.

Pakistan won't even make 200. It's either great or awful with them

Anon (remember to put your name on texts!)

Pakistan will be kicking themselves. Given how Australia collapsed, if they had bowled and caught properly they would be chasing around 210 now. No way was this a 307 first dig pitch with their attack.

It's Hassan Ali on the charge for now. These two need to take it to pretty much the end if Pakistan are to do this.

A brief pause for a drink.

Stuart Mitchell: Here's hoping for one last twist in this game and for Sarfaraz to produce a great ODI innings and see Pakistan home.

Make that 17! Hassan Ali fancies knocking this off in sixes alone. He skips down and heaves Glenn Maxwell over long-on. Shot!

Those were the 15th and 16th sixes Hassan Ai in just 239 balls in ODI cricket. He has hit nine of his last 90 balls over the rope in this format.

If Pakistan had wickets in hand then it is do-able in this day and age but I trust Pakistan to be different.

Hello! Hassan Ali whips a pull shot out over mid-wicket into the stands, causing one unfortunate fan to lose his footing as he tries to catch it.

    Target 308

New man Hassan Ali flashes at it and the ball deflects off a thick outside edge and off keeper Alex Carey.

Is that a chance? Can't really call it a drop, the ball flew so quickly off the bat. You can call it four though.

Cheers Callum. You've been quite the jinx for Pakistan there.

Though most of us did say this looked like being a thrilling finish.

Will it be a quick one instead?

That's a tough ball to negotiate because it rose a bit higher than Asif Ali expected.
