Pakistan have gone with two spinners today.

Since the last World Cup, Rohi Sharma averages 116 against spin, Virat Kohli 104 and MS Dhoni 79.

Maybe they've spotted a weakness somewhere in those numbers?

    Stand

To the gentleman right at the top of the temporary stand in the corner - I salute you. It’s like looking up at the Pepsi Max at Blackpool.

  4. Ind 11-0published at 3 overs

Mohammad Amir has been told off for running on the pitch in his follow-through. Bruce Oxenford is not impressed.

KL Rahul is yet to get off the mark - there he is, pushing a single.

  5. Ind 9-0published at 2.3 overs

Mohammad Amir beats Rohit for pace, he is looking sharp as a tack. Rohit then tries to hook a bouncer and misses out again. Plenty of chatter around the batsman after that one.

I would not fancy being at the top of that temporary stand. At all.

I was at the Champions Trophy final two years ago. I am a Pakistan supporter and sat among India fans. The camaraderie was there to behold, we not only shared the moments but the food and as it dawned that India were to lose the game they went out and passed on their tickets to hordes of Pakistani fans to savour a rare moment of glory.

The politics is for the politicians; as people we share so much in common that it is difficult to divide us.

    Tendulkar

I can't find the worlds to adequately describe the noise here. It is astonishing. I was stood out in the crowd for the national anthems - the roar that went up when they finished was like nothing I've heard before. The temporary stand is now packed, an absolute sea of India flags, while behind the stands, people mill about, trying to get to their seats to see the action. One young boy goes running past me, dragging his dad by the hand, determined to get settled in the crowd.

  9. Ind 9-0published at 2 overs

Every run is cheered like the winning strike as Rohit Sharma works the ball into the leg side. Nine off the over.

That ball did seam and nip back.

  11. Ind 4-0published at 1.4 overs

Beauty! Hassan Ali gets some in dip, Rohit is nearly beaten all ends up but ends up jagging an inside edge to the fence for four. India off the mark, but not in convincing style.

Such a shame this isn't on terrestrial. Am sure it's an amazing atmosphere and so unique in world sport.

Mohammad Amir gets a bit of inswing on a rapid Yorker but KL Rahul jabs his bat down in time to flick it away. That's a bright start for the Pakistan quick, a maiden!

  18. Ind 0-0published at 0.1 overs

Brilliant atmosphere as Amir steams in, KL Rahul just plays it calmly into the off side. Buzz kill.
