If you're just joining us...I'm not even going to begin to try and explain why what's happening is happening.

Anyway, Pakistan need 136 runs from five overs at a run rate of 27.2.

    Yeah...

Quite what the Pakistan batsmen are going to do...they were receiving some instructions there which I suppose is 'score at 28 an over and don't get out'.

Good luck Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan. Go well.

Umpires Bruce Oxenford and Marais Erasmus are making their way out to the middle.

On Europe: DLS, you need to remember that had Pakistan actually scored a bit faster and not lost as many wickets, the target would have been reduced, it's their fault they don't have the resources left to compete, not the system.

What I've learnt from this is that a lot of us so-called journalists don't know the basics of when a cricket match should finish. We've just had a five minute row about what time they can play until versus when the match is scheduled to end.

Everyone seems very angry about Duckworth-Lewis-Stern right now.

Steven Stern might be regretting putting his name to it.

They can only bowl a maximum eight overs and this is the important bit - the third powerplay is on. There is something highly farcical about this that only cricket can produce.

Theo: DLS needs an overhaul... the revised target is a farce. What a ridiculous way to end what for the most part has been an entertaining spectacle

  13. Postpublished at 19:01 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

OK so we're looking at a revised target of 302 off 40 overs.

So Pakistan will need 136 off 30 balls at a run rate of 27.2.

They won't get close but you'd love to see it happen.

Are we going to end up with Pakistan needing 50 off one over here?

No, it looks like they are going to try and fit five overs in.

They are not pleasing anyone by trying to have any more cricket now. I can't see any positive reason for going out.

I cannot believe we're going to play again. It was as miserable as anything 10 minutes ago and it's still nasty and dark up above.

If it's a five past start there can only be three overs. Unless there is not a 7:15 finish, they must have something up their sleeves.
