It is all going to plan - but the Bangladesh plan surely can't have been to go at 7.75 an over.

  2. Ban 316-3published at 41 overs

Why is Andre Russell on the field?

Das chokes a pull shot and Russell stumbles, literally almost toppling over, from square leg to pick up the ball.

    Six required from nine overs.

  3. Ban 315-3published at 40.4 overs

    Four more!

Das carves Jason Holder through backward point this time.

This is going to do Bangladesh's net run-rate a great deal of good too.

Ian Clarke: Looks like the Windies have imploded. After the fast two matches they looked good.

  6. Ban 309-3published at 40.1 overs

A floaty delivery from Jason Holder and Liton Das drives him through the covers for another boundary.

    The end is nigh.

Former West Indies bowler on BBC Test Match Special

Bangladesh have always been a team to show promise, they have come a long way.

They have played extremely well and deserve to win this game but the bowling from the West Indies has been less than ordinary.

  8. Ban 305-3published at 40 overs

Four singles follow that gorgeous Shakib straight drive.

Bangladesh need 17 from the final 10 overs. A matter of when rather than if.

Mark le Huray: This has to be the game of the World Cup so far. Bangladesh have destroyed what ever confidence the West Indies may have got from their decent score.

    Vic Marks
Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

West Indies have been very ragged in the field but also one-dimensional with the ball. There is no notion of just finding a length. The short ball hasn't worked, there is a real lack of variety in this attack and no alternative plan. They haven't got an Ashley Nurse to bowl something slightly more venomous than Chris Gayle.

  11. 'West Indies can kiss semi-final hopes goodbye'published at 18:08 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Sir Curtly Ambrose
Former West Indies bowler on BBC Test Match Special

They can kiss their chances of getting to the semi-finals goodbye after this. I can't see them winning their remaining games and even so they are going to need top teams to lose. All they can do is try to win to save face.

  12. Ban 301-3published at 39.1 overs

Glorious again from Shakib Al Hasan as he punches down the ground for a couple.

Leon Lewis: Would quite like to see Bangladesh bat the full 50, just to see how many they could get.

At least 85% of the boundaries came from short bowling - maybe 90%.

I'm not sure Taunton has ever seen anything like this.

  16. Ban 299-3published at 39 overs

    Four more!

Short again and Liton Das just helps it on its way to the boundary.

    23 more required.

People calling this an historic win for Bangladesh are being disrespectful. They're just a better team than West Indies - and have been for some time. When will people stop underestimating them?

  19. dropped catch

    Ban 295-3published at 38.3 overs

I mean this is technically a drop but Sheldon Cottrell has probably just saved himself a broken nose, in truth.

It's smashed back at him by Liton Das and he gets two hands to it but it pops out. Cottrell is fuming at himself for dropping that.

    What an innings it's been.
