It's been a testing time for our weather forecasters. This looks reasonably promising and looking at Taunton - another county venue to have a big block of luxury flats with balconies overlooking the ground - there is a patch of blue sky. Not a big one - and the sailor's trousers may be on the snug side - but there does not look like rain yet.

Yes, a long delay, coming back for five overs five minutes before the scheduled close on a cold, overcast evening and leaving an equation of 136 from 30 balls was not what the billions watching India-Pakistan wanted really, was it?
