Bairstow lbw b Malinga 0 (Eng 1-1)
Nope, umpire's call clipping leg stump. Jonny Bairstow departs for a golden duck.
Bairstow is furious, swiping his bat at the ground as he leaves the field. With the decision or with himself?
He just missed a straight one really, trying to flick it into the leg side and Lasith Malinga got it through with his slingy pace.
Just the start Sri Lanka needed.
Hmm. Looks more down leg than it did in real time.
That new glove hasn't done him much good.
Jonny Bairstow plays around a straight one from Lasith Malinga.
Pinged on the pad. Huge appeal and given!
After a lengthy deliberation, Bairstow sends it upstairs.
Jonny Bairstow has asked a sub to come on with a new set of gloves.
You've not faced a ball yet, lad!
Target 233
Lasith Malinga to James Vince first up.
It's on the pads and Vince turns it deep backward square leg for a single to get off the mark.
Right, here come Sri Lanka back out onto the field.
Jonny Bairstow and James Vince jog out to join them.
Can Sri Lanka pinch a few early wickets to put England under real pressure?
Can England make a statement of intent by knocking this off in a rush?
There was an enterprising knock from Avishka Fernando as well, counter-attacking in a fine 49 before he guided it straight to third man.
Sri Lanka got off to a terrible start, falling to 3-2, before rebuilding to 133-3.
Only to then lose two wickets in as many balls to Adil Rashid.
Angelo Mathews top scored for Sri Lanka with an unbeaten 85 off 115 balls.
His approach has been criticised but at least he's got his side a score here.
Mathews' knock reminded me of a bit of Hashim Amla's against New Zealand - an out of form player just trying to find a way to accumulate, however slowly.
That said, Mathews was more fluent than Amla, hitting a few lovely shots along the way...
Jofra Archer is now level with Mitchell Starc as the leading wicket-taker in this year's World Cup. They both have 15 scalps now.
Here are Archer's three wickets today...
One thing we can all agree on...Mark Wood is bowling serious fire at the moment.
Thanks Tom.
Bread, eh? Perhaps the next TV debate should be on that.
It's a roll or a bap for me.
RIP my mentions.
I'm off to kill a Yorkshireman with a batch - here's Jack Skelton to take you all through the England run chase.
England fast bowler Mark Wood: "We started off brilliantly to get two early wickets and then spinners controlled it in the middle. They didn't get away from us at all - it was a great team performance.
"The backroom staff are sick of the sight of me but everything is going well with my ankle. I'm in the form of my career and have got to keep this form train going.
"The pitch was gripping a little bit so we though yorkers wasn't the way to go at the end and instead dig it into the wicket and slower balls. Angelo Mathews played well but we restricted them.
"I hope I'm not going to be needed with the bat, we're in trouble if I am! But I'm confident we can do the job."
Jofra Archer has claimed eight wickets from short balls at this WC whilst Mark Wood has the second-most (5); no other bowlers have recorded more than two from short deliveries.

Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
Fantastic from England. They got all the combinations right. Sri Lanka look like they have no confidence - the two early wickets pegged them back when they needed Kusal Perera to come out and crack a few boundaries instead.
England will look to chase this down quickly.

A dot ball to finish a trudging 50 overs by Sri Lanka.
Wickets, wickets, wickets.
How many short of par was that for Sri Lanka?
