Sri Lanka fast bowler Lasith Malinga: "We know how hard Ben Stokes hits it, he got two or three boundaries but we just kept bowling our stock ball.
"We stuck to our basic plan - line and length, no loose balls and add in some variations and bouncers.
"We want to carry on the momentum and confidence into the other matches."
How many points will England, or anyone, need to get fourth? Hard to say but England have now lost two. You wouldn't have thought they could afford many more defeats.

England have not played with any smartness. The game was won when Moeen Ali hit a six and he tried to hit another. I hope we are not in an era where in the dressing you can't say "that is not good enough".
