That's the first boundary hit off Mohammad Amir today.

In the first 10 overs South Africa hit just three boundaries, one of which was an inside edge.

  2. SA 237-7published at 46 overs

And a top edge goes to the boundary. Not the hat-trick, match-winning over Amir will have been hoping for.

72 to win from four overs.

New Zealand v Pakistan at Edgbaston on Wednesday will be tasty after this. Pakistan will move right up into the chasing pack with this win.

I'm sorry to tell you Mohammad Amir has gone for a boundary. It's the first off his bowling today. It dents his excellent figures.

Mark: Amazing atmosphere at Pakistan games in CWC. Time for some "home" matches in England if they cannot play at home, much better than UAE.

What would you do in this situation? Keep swinging in the hope something remarkable happens or protect your average?

    Rabada blocks for one.

I like this World Cup format but one change I would make is to seed the teams, based on ICC rankings, and have the top teams play each other first and the lower teams play each other, keeping things interesting into the latter stages.

Amir is back. Can he get the five-for he deserves?

    Target 309

This is quick from Wahab Riaz. There doesn't look to be a lot of conversation going on on that South Africa balcony.

For what it's worth they need 84 from 30 balls to win.

This is the worst South Africa team to play at a World Cup, what a shambles.

Kagiso Rabada comes out into this Pakistan party at Lord's. Wahab goes straight for his toes first up. Defended.

I think South Africa are playing a game that's behind the times. They've not got anyone who has gone on to get a big hundred.South Africa's bowling is strong but they are just not getting the runs or chasing them.

Full, straight, a bit of reverse, bowled. Too good for Chris Morris from Wahab Riaz.

Zeeshan: Still can't believe this is the best team South Africa sent to compete in the World Cup after the past history they have in this tournament.

  15. SA 221-6published at 44 overs

Need 88 runs from 36 balls

Shadab Khan finishes for 3-50 from his 10. A fine effort. He's got cramp and the physio stretches out his hamstring on the boundary edge.

    Pakistan are closing in.

    Caaaaaatch. Wide of deep mid-wicket.

    Four to Phehlukwayo.

  17. SA 216-6published at 43.3 overs

Shadab settles things down with just three singles from his first three balls. The crowd are more tense than they were a while ago and they politely applaud the fielding.

  18. SA 213-6published at 43 overs

16 from the over. If they keep that up then they'll get there.

96 runs from 42 balls needed.

Six! Great shot from Chris Morris with a pump down the ground.

    It would be truly remarkable.
