That's unlucky, it's good bowling and it could have quite easily brought a wicket for Sri Lanka.

Need another 176 runs to win
A second boundary in the off-spinner's over comes as De Kock chops a cut behind square. The required rate has dropped down to 3.82 now.
Good start for South Africa. Where has this been?

That's a good shot, isn't it? There was a little bit of width and that's something that every side will have wrote down on their notes about Quinton de Kock - 'don't let him free his arms'.
This is not going to plan for Sri Lanka. Build the dots and get an early breakthrough would surely have been their focus.
Four more to De Kock, this time punishing Dhananjaya.

Lasith Malinga just got a fraction greedy there. He was getting it to shape away but from too wide so he went a bit straighter in the hope he'd nick off but he's just worked him away.
Target 204
Amla is 36 now. He has been churning out runs for fun since 2004.
Which current player will you be saddest to see retire?

Aeroasad: It saddens me deeply to think that the legendary Hasim Amla is approaching the end of his international career.
Nervous outside off but still dangerous off his pads. No good from Malinga. Whipped for four by Hashim Amla.
There are some good partnerships there. Who was the best? A tough choice between Sachin and Sehwag and Gilchrist and Hayden for me.
The curious case of Hashim Amla's 2019 World Cup continues with a couple of airy shots that pass his edge.
Phil Long
BBC Test Match Special statistician
This is the 15th time this pair have opened together in World Cup cricket. Only three pairs - Gilchrist & Hayden, Guptill & McCullum and Tendulkar & Sehwag - have opened together more.
Gilchrist and Hayden averaged 64, Guptill & McCullum 55, Tendulkar & Sehwag 54, Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla only average 21.7.
Do South Africa want to get on with this? Or do they just want to take advantage of the hard new ball.
Quinton de Kock drives down the ground for four now. That's the third boundary Malinga has conceded in seven balls.
Target 204
Tidy start from Dhananjaya de Silva. No big turn but he keeps South Africa down to just one run.
Sri Lanka are opening with spinner Dhananjaya de Silva at the other end.

It could be a doubly good day today if SA knock this off quickly as it will help with the old net run rate...
Will listening in sunny Leeds.
A better finish from Malinga but an expensive first over for Sri Lanka.
A reminder they'd go level with England if they win this match. They're certainly not favourites at the moment.

Unbelievable. Those are two magnificent cricketing shots.
And now Hashim Amla puts Malinga for four on the other side of the wicket. Don't bowl on his pads, Lasith.

That shot is everything that Hashim Amla is all about. He's just leant on it and caressed it for four.
That is lovely from Hashim Amla. Textbook. He's a man short of runs in this World Cup but he leans forward in classic style and guides the ball for four through the covers.
Target 204
South Africa need 204 to win with a required run-rate of 4.08.
Lasith Malinga starts with a delivery that just comes back in to Quinton de Kock but the South Africa opener knocks it for one.
