  1. SA 36-1published at 7.4 overs

I don't think this pitch is as bad as Sri Lanka's score suggests but it's no road. Du Plessis looks down puzzled after he fails to time one.

Lesley Keech: I'm still not over Cookie retiring! But of the current crop, will miss Jimmy Anderson. Non-England players - Virat Kohli. A joy to watch, even when he's batting against you.

Another bowling change. Thisara Perera is going to bustle in.

  4. SA 36-1published at 7 overs

    Amla 16, Du Plessis 3

Hashim Amla now gets tested by the Malinga yorker. This one is a slower ball and the opener has time to get his bat down on it.

Amla, looking a little edgy, then drives loosely at the following delivery. He misses but wicketkeeper Kusal Perera throws the ball into the air which excites a smattering of Sri Lanka fans in the crowd.

That was wonderful fielding by Avishka Fernando.

  8. SA 34-1published at 6 overs

    Target 203

The wicket looks to have lifted the Sri Lanka team. Avishka Fernando leaps in the Durham sunshine to pluck the ball out of the air and prevent a run. A couple of team-mates run in to give the youngster a high five. Good stuff.

Du Plessis gets off the mark with a comfortable couple.

It's been a real treat to watch Lasith Malinga in the last couple of games.

  15. SA 31-1published at 5 overs

SA skipper Faf du Plessis twirls his bat in his hands as he walks to the middle.

He tries to drive his first ball but it only dribbles to cover.

We've seen that plenty of times from Lasith Malinga, haven't we? De Kock was probably looking to hit that a bit too square if you're being critical but it's hard to be too critical when you've got Malinga, a master of the yorker bowling at him. He just tailed back in a little bit and cannoned into leg stump.

    De Kock b Malinga 15 (SA 31-1)

    But that's classic Malinga!

He spears on into Quinton de Kock's toes and it swings in and flicks the leg stump. It was only a glancing blow but enough to remove one bail.

I'll never get tired of seeing Malinga bowl yorkers like that since I'm safe in the knowledge I'll never have to face them.

Everyone likes Hashim Amla and it's a shame to see someone that's been such a good player struggling towards the end of their time.

  19. SA 31-0published at 4.3 overs

Well if old Lasith keeps on bowling on Hashim Amla's pads, England fans will be feeling much more comfortable.

Not the place to be. More runs.
