I think he should have taken that. He did the hard work and then undid it.

We've just been debating whether bowlers practice return catches. Does anyone know?

Five runs come off Shinwari's fifth over after that drop.

He's got figures of 0-23 now.

You might say having got there he should have caught it, but it was struck hard at him.

  5. dropped catch

Sarfaraz dropped on twopublished at 30.1 overs

    BIG moment!

It is absolutely smashed back at Samiullah Shinwari by Sarfaraz Ahmed and he gets there, the ball is in his hands but it pops out.

    Three singles follow the wicket.

Pakistan need 104 more from 120 balls.

There's pressure on Sarfaraz now. Pakistan need to win this game - lose and they themselves are in serious trouble.

It was a poor shot - his hands were low, he was half-hearted in it and it made for a gentle catch.

Genius work from Gulbadin, bringing Mujeeb back into the attack.

    And he's struck first ball!

It's a soft dismissal for Mohammad Hafeez - there's been a few of them in this World Cup. It's a short-ish ball from Mujeeb but he just dabs it straight into the hands of backward point.

    It's like catching practice.

We can't say it's the turning point in the match, but it makes for great hyperbole.

    Oh, it was bat!

A tiny tiny spike on Hawkeye.

Don't forget Afghanistan burned their review earlier with one of the worst reviews I've ever seen.

How important is that to be going for Pakistan? And potentially England.

  18. Pak 118-3published at 28 overs

Gulbadin continues and he beats the outside edge of Mohammad Hafeez with a slower ball. A poor bit of keeping allows Pakistan to jog through for a bye.

The Afghanistan captain then sneaks one under the bat of Haris Sohail before the left-hander carves gloriously to the point boundary. He is so good to watch.

Afghanistan are fuming at the end of the over. There's a huge appeal for a caught behind against Haris - Gulbadin is clapping his hands in anger/enthusiasm - but Nigel Llong shakes his hand and brushes his trousers to show where he thought it hit.

Ilyas Najib: I’m sick of this notion Pakistan cannot handle pressure. Let’s not forget they held their nerve to finish eighth to qualify for the Champions Trophy and beat Sri Lanka, South Africa, England & India to win it. For a team who cannot handle pressure, that’s amazing.

  20. Pak 113-3published at 27 overs

A wide from Samiullah Shinwari follows before Haris plays out five dots.

The win predictor has it 85-15 in Pakistan's favour at the moment.
