New Zealand have been fallible here. They need cutters, not just seam up.

Jimmy Neesham to bowl the 46th over and he starts with a dot ball to Chris Woakes.

Dot balls a real problem for England now.

It's now Chris Woakes' role to get Ben Stokes on strike.

Ben Stokes flicks at the final ball angled across him. So close to the edge.

Stokes and Woakes - what have you got?

I have to say that's a brilliant catch. Tim Southee started to go back and then ran in and got two hands low down to the ground. A magnificent grab in the context of the game!

    Is this the game?

Jos Buttler miscues a big, booming drive off the toe end of his bat and the ball is spiralling out to deep cover.

Sub fielder Tim Southee misreads it at first, going back, but corrects himself in time, scurries forward and takes a sublime low catch.

Nails. Buttler looked to carrying England home but it's perhaps swung back New Zealand's way now.

  8. Eng 196-4published at 44.3 overs

Jos Buttler flays it away off a thick outside edge down towards fine third man.

Trent Boult is scurrying across and puts in a superb diving stop, confirmed by the third umpire, to keep it to two.

A terrific yorker from Trent Boult that not even Jos Buttler can conjure something from - no run. Just six from the over.

Ben Stokes now slaps a very full ball down the ground for a single and that's his 50.

Slower than Jos Buttler but just as vital. A fine, gritty knock.

That four also brought up the century stand between Buttler and Stokes. A supreme effort.

Buttler misses with a flay but jams his bat down on a yorker and scampers a single.

On a sticky, tricky pitch in a World Cup final, Jos Buttler has hit pretty much a run-a-ball 50.

Length from Trent Boult and he cracks it up over extra cover and away for four.

    Awesome.
