    That is untidy from England.

  2. NZ 232-6published at 48.2 overs

Mares. Chris Woakes gets an off cutter horribly wrong, slinging it way down leg and it gets worse, the ball hitting Jos Buttler on the leg as he fails to gather before it dribbles away to the boundary.

    Five wides. Dearie me.

Some of New Zealand's batting has been good but some has been average.

The whole innings has been a bit strange.

There was an OK start but the lack of Williamson once he has dismissed was clear. If he was there something more substantial might have been constructed.

New Zealand are a little short of where they would like to be.

  4. Not outpublished at 48.1 overs

It pitched outside leg. The run out was actually closer.

England lose their review but no chance it will be as costly as Martin Guptill burning through New Zealand's on a plumb lbw earlier.

    All happening.

Chris Woakes gets one into Tom Latham's pads and has to appeal while also fielding the ball, turning and missing as he tries to throw down the stumps.

Latham steals a single and Woakes convinces Eoin Morgan to send it upstairs for the lbw shout.

Australia defended 243 here against New Zealand a few weeks back - but then, New Zealand did have an almighty collapse. This doesn't feel like the easiest pitch to score on. There's some nervous foot tapping and pacing going on around me.

  9. NZ 225-6published at 48 overs

    Run rate 4.69

Jofra Archer has one of the best economy rates of any bowler at this World Cup and shows why here.

The 48th over of the innings and he only concedes five singles.

He may be disappointed not to have picked up any wickets but this is still a vital contribution - only 39 runs from his nine overs so far.

TV have just done a package on Archer's short balls to De Grandhomme.

Truly unsettling pace and accuracy. Play those, Colin.

Colin de Grandhomme scored 16 from 28 balls with no boundaries. He had never previously gone more than 22 balls without hitting a four or a six.

New Zealand will feel they have a chance. If they can get to 250 they might feel they are in this game. I am not sure they will be able to get there now. Latham will be the key.

So we’re officially at peak Sunday of Summer Sport. Federer moving through the gears, England up in the first set and Lewis Hamilton hoping for minimal sideways movement off the deck.

Good return over from Woakes - six from it, but no boundaries and a wicket.

That was not an innings Colin de Grandhomme will want to remember. He did not look comfortable.

    WICKETpublished at 46.5 overs

De Grandhomme c sub (Vince) b Woakes 16 (NZ 219-6)

Colin de Grandhomme's torturous knock comes to a tame end.

The big man tries to flick Chris Woakes into the leg side but miscues it horribly and sends a leading edge looping high towards mid on.

James Vince, on as a sub for Mark Wood, makes no mistake.

England did a fine job to prevent De Grandhomme getting any big hits away - he used up 28 balls for just 16 runs.

Mark Wood has gone off by the way. He looked to have injured himself in that final over.

Hopefully it's nothing serious, given his injury history.

Here is Chris Woakes to bowl the 47th and, presumably, the 49th overs.
