  3. NZ 196-5published at 43 overs

    Latham 29, De Grandhomme 12

Big bonus runs. Mark Wood sends down a bumper, Colin de Grandhomme ducks but not low enough and the ball deflects up off his shoulder and over Jos Buttler - four leg byes.

Expensive over - 10 from it.

It will be Latham's job to bat through the innings now and let everyone else play around him.

  7. NZ 186-5published at 42 overs

    Run rate 4.43

De Grandhomme drives down the ground, straight to Mark Wood at mid off and sets off for a risky single. Wood's throw misses the stumps though.

Standing ovation for Liam Plunkett at the end of his spell.

  10. NZ 183-5published at 41.3 overs

Colin of Big Man top edges a pull shot into his helmet and the ball just about loops up over the retreating Eoin Morgan.

We'll have a break while the physios check him out, but he looks fine to continue.

Jofra Archer is back and will bowl the remaining five overs from the Pavilion End.

I am really pleased for Liam Plunkett. He has been an integral part of this England side and has produced a fantastic performance in a World Cup final.

Love this. Packed Nursery Ground, people picnicking, kids playing cricket, England on top... there’s a really good atmosphere, a hint of nerves mixed with people just having a really good time.

The pitch looks similar in pace to the one for the Old Trafford semi-final. New Zealand got to 240 against India in that game and managed to defend it.

  15. NZ 181-5published at 41 overs

    Plunkett 10-0-42-3

Big man to big man - and Colin de Grandhomme taps Liam Plunkett off his pads for a single.

Tom Latham then can't quite time a pull stroke and only gets one.

Oooh. Lovely from Plunkett, a cross-seam ball has De Grandhomme prodding loosely outside off and missing.

Now a leading edge to finish, just two from the over.

And that's Plunkett done for the day - 3-42 off his 10 overs. Supreme. Well done that man.

Watching how the pitch is playing, I don't think England will want to chase more than 250. New Zealand's bowling attack likes the challenge of defending low totals and they are good at it.

Right - 10 overs left, what can New Zealand post?

Liam Plunkett will bowl his final over here.

"Leee-am, Leee-am" is the chant in the Edrich Stand as Plunkett returns to his fielding position. Plunkett simply tips his cap and offers a wave of the right hand.

England have the two of three fastest bowlers in the World Cup - 2015 feels so very long ago.
