  1. Billings on the mendpublished at 13:28 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

As the game at Canterbury continues towards a high-scoring draw, a bit of good news from the nets for Kent followers with Sam Billings going through his batting repertoire.

He dislocated a shoulder in a One-day Cup game against Glamorgan in April - his first appearance of the season for the club following a trip to the Indian Premier League.

  2. Lunch at Derbypublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Derbyshire 557-6 dec & 10-0 v Middlesex 520

England's Dawid Malan was dismissed for 199 and John Simpson made 115 before Middlesex's first innings finally came to an end on the last morning at Derby.

Ahead by 37, Derbyshire added another 10 to that in four overs before the interval, with Billy Godleman six not out and Luis Reece two.

Does this batsmen-dominated game have another century or two in it?

  3. Lunch at Cardiffpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Glamorgan 449 and 246-5 v Worcestershire 370

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

Worcestershire have done their best to put the brakes on with a disciplined bowling performance to keep the home lead to 325 at the break.

Brett D’Oliveira wheeled away with his leg-spin in a lengthy spell, dismissing Marnus Labuschagne, immediately after he reached his second hundred of the match, and Nick Selman for 58 as he tried to accelerate.

Dan Douthwaite was the only man to get going with a vigorous 40, with the ball keeping low on the fourth day.

With 66 overs left in the match, the declaration should come at or just after the interval.

  5. Lunch at Scarboroughpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Yorkshire 327 & 352 v Surrey 362 & 68-0

So far, so good for Surrey, who reach lunch unscathed as they look to score 318 for victory.

They were frustrated by a last-wicket stand of 57 between Ben Coad (48) and Duanne Olivier, which pushed the home side's lead beyond 300 after they resumed on 303-9.

Dean Elgar is 34 not out and Mark Stoneman has 30 at the interval, and Yorkshire need to break this partnership in the near future.

Somerset celebrate at TauntonImage source, Getty Images

Mason Crane pulls a ball from Dom Bess to mid-wicket and that is the end of the match at Taunton as Hampshire's Joe Weatherley is unable to bat because of an ankle injury.

It is the first time the visitors have lost at Taunton since 1996, says BBC Radio Solent's Kevan James, after losing eight wickets on the final morning.

The initial damage was done by Jamie Overton and Lewis Gregory before spinners Jack Leach (3-14) and Bess (2-12) finished the job.

Somerset take a maximum 24 points for their sixth win of the season and Hampshire, for whom only James Fuller (35) and Sam Northeast (23) reached double figures, have to settle for six.

  7. Lunch is served at Sedbergh Schoolpublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Lancashire 337 & 247, Durham 281 & 39-2

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

Lancashire have set Durham a comprehensive target of 304 to win in 79 overs after being bowled out for 247 in their second innings in the Sedbergh sunshine.

Nathan Rimmington, playing in his first game of the year, took another four wickets to finish with career-best match figures of 8-116.

His first victim today was Lancashire skipper Dane Vilas, caught and bowled after driving a low full toss back to him on 85. And his last wicket was the injured Jimmy Anderson, who came out to bat with a runner.

But Durham then got off to a terrible start when Alex Lees lost his off stump leaving a ball from Saqib Mahmood, who cleaned up Gareth Harte also for a duck.

  8. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Notts 213 & 165-8, Essex 519-9 dec

Notts reach lunch on the final day at Trent Bridge, still needing 141 to make Essex bat again.

Ravi Ashwin has so far hit three boundaries in his 23, while England's Stuart Broad is still awaiting his first run.

But Essex need just two more wickets to wrap up their fifth County Championship Division One win in six games.

Resuming on 100-5, Notts resisted for 45 minutes before losing Ben Duckett (39) and Luke Fletcher (11), both caught behind off South African spinner Simon Harmer.

Tom Moores suddenly ended an hour's dogged resistance by hitting Aaron Beard for three boundaries before chopping on to his middle stump for 14.

  9. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Kent 585-7 dec, Warwickshire 462-6

A dramatic morning at Canterbury. Three wickets. More than in any session of the match so far.

Sadly for the stattos, the last of them was Dom Sibley.

His marathon ten hours and 40 minutes career-best innings came to an end on 244, with a top-edged hook.

Earlier, Adam Hose was first to go, leg before wicket to Ollie Rayner, before Grant Stewart removed Matt Lamb the same way.

  10. wicket

WICKET Edwards b Leach 4published at 13:04 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Somerset 408 & 358-8 dec v Hampshire 349 & 104-8

A third wicket for Jack Leach as Fidel Edwards is bowled attempting some sort of big hit.

    Is that it?

No, it isn't as injured Tom Alsop struggles to the middle for Hampshire.

WICKET Fuller b Bess 35published at 12:55 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Somerset 408 & 358-8 dec v Hampshire 349 & 97-7

James Fuller is dismissedImage source, Getty Images

James Fuller takes a pace forwards to try and kill any spin, but the ball beats the outside edge and bowls him. Dom Bess strikes and out comes Fidel Edwards. He could be Hampshire's last man as it looks like Tom Alsop and Joe Weatherley may not bat.

  12. wicket

    WICKET Sibley c Kuhn b Bell-Drummond 244published at 12:54 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Kent 585-7 dec, Warwickshire 457-6

Double centurion Dom Sibley is finally gone after his marathon 10 hours and 40 minutes at the crease.

Medium pacer Daniel Bell-Drummond tempts him into hooking, Sibley gets a top edge and Heino Kuhn runs back from slip to take the skied catch.

During the last two days, he has become the first man this season to get 1,000 first-class runs, become the first Englishman to make 1,000 County Championship runs, hit his fourth century of the season, the second double of his career, beaten his career-best, hit the highest knock in the Champo this summer, made the Bears' highest individual score in 12 years and boosted his England hopes. But it was still a disappointing way to go.

WICKET Barker c Abell b Leach 4published at 12:50 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Somerset 408 & 358-8 dec v Hampshire 349 & 89-6

That is a very poor stroke by Keith Barker, who flicks a floated delivery from Jack Leach straight to short mid-wicket.

Mason Crane is the next man in and given the match position and the number of overs left in the day, we wonder whether Hampshire will bother sending injured Tom Alsop and Joe Weatherley out there.

  14. Surrey pair still togetherpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Yorkshire 327 & 352 v Surrey 362 & 51-0

Mark Stoneman and Dean Elgar post a fifty partnership at Scarborough, but runs are certainly not easy to come by at the moment with Keshav Maharaj and Steven Patterson keeping things tight for Yorkshire.

The 2018 champions require another 267 for victory.

  15. New career best for Dom Sibleypublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

Dom Sibley moves on to 243 - and it's time to clap those hands and applaud him yet again.

This is now his new career-best score.

It beats the 242 he made as a teenager against Yorkshire at the Oval in 2013, in only his third first-class game with Surrey six summers ago.

WICKET Moores b Beard 14published at 12:45 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Notts 213 & 158-8, Essex 519-9 dec

Tom Moores is eighth man out at Trent Bridge, playing on, as Aaron Beard gets in on the act.

It's his fifth wicket of the match, but it was a dreadful shot, as Moores just wafted his bat way outside the off stump and watched the ball cannon back to hit middle.

This could mean a late lunch, with only two wickets now left to take for Essex.

Up to the umpires' discretion that one.

Stuart Broad is the new man in.

    Somerset 408 & 358-8 dec v Hampshire 349 & 89-5

Jack Leach and Tom AbellImage source, Getty Images

That's the one Somerset wanted and Hampshire skipper Sam Northeast departs after a leading edge is taken by Tom Abell at mid-off.

Keith Barker is the new Hampshire batsman, with injured Joe Weatherley and Tom Alsop remaining in the dressing room for now.

  18. Division Two updatepublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

Leaders Glamorgan are now 300 in front against Worcestsrshire after reaching 221-4 in their second innings. Is a declaration in the offing in the not too distant future?

The Middlesex first innings has finally come to an end on 520 all out at Derby after Tony Palladino bowled Nathan Sowter for 13. They are 37 behind - and barring a dramatic Derbyshire collapse, this one is heading for a draw.

  19. Somerset turn to Besspublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Somerset 408 & 358-8 dec v Hampshire 349 & 85-4

Twin spin now at Taunton as Dom Bess enters the attack.

James Fuller (27) and Sam Northeast (23) have put on 57 so far, but how long will Fuller, in particular, be able to rein himself in?

He has six first-class fifties to his credit, though, so he knows what the piece of wood with the rubber-coated handle is for.

  20. wicket

WICKET Harte b Mahmood 0published at 12:32 British Summer Time 3 July 2019

    Lancashire 337 & 247, Durham 281 & 11-2

Gareth Harte is comprehensively bowled by a fired-up Saqib Mahmood.

Durham have started with two ducks and suddenly that victory target of 304 seems a long way away.
