Here's the first six of the day from Heather Knight:
Eng 116-2
Nat Sciver will be disappointed there - she hits a slow full toss straight to short fine leg. Although off the next ball, she's nearly bowled, caught and/or stumped as there's a fumble behind the timbers by teenage keeper Nannapat Koncharoenkai. Sciver helps herself to four off the last ball.

This is the England side we are used to. They look a lot more comfortable in the middle.
Rather like Graham Gooch in that World Cup semi-final in India in 1987, England captain Heather Knight has been sweeping the opposition to diustraction today, that's her 10th four.

hypocaust: Most 50+ women's T20I scores at a single venue:
Sciver 39, Knight 57
Leg-spinner Laomi finishes her spell with 0-26 from four overs as Knight helps herself to a couple of twos.
It's a glorious day at Manuka Oval, by the way. Hopefully Amy and the TMS crew have remembered to bring their sun cream.
England now basking in the sunshine - Knight is properly in the zone, sweeping Laomi for another four to take her side into three figures.

A terrific knock. She keeps getting better and better.
Melinda Farrell

Heather Knight absolutely mullered that. She has stood tall when England really needed her to in this game.
Eng 96-2
Wow! A firm slog-sweep from Heather Knight, and it's a very flat six over square leg - while a single brings up her fifty from 38 balls.
Eng 89-2
She's fine.

I think this will be safe in the end. A direct hit would've been interesting.
Ratanaporn Padunglerd returns from the Pool End - where I've learned from Amy that there is an actual pool, outside the ground. (Though not actually inside the ground, like at the P Sara Oval in Colombo).
Padunglerd's bowling is difficult to describe - she's listed as right-arm medium pace, but has a run-up shorter than many spinners, and seems to be sending down the odd doosra, flicking it out of her fingers.
Sciver wants a quick single but is sent back to the bowler's end, captain Tippoch's alert throw to the bowler's end means they need to check upstairs...
And another straight drive from the Nat Sciver handbook:
Suleeporn Laomi with more leg-spin - Mel Farrell and Alex Blackwell on TMS think she might be the shortest player in the tournament, possibly even shorter than the 4ft 11ins Poonam Yadav of India, another leg-spinner.
Heather Knight's not happy with someone moving by the sightscreens, but she seems to he seeing the ball well enough - an over of five singles means she moves to 42 from 33 balls, while Sciver has an even 37 from 37.
Here's some of those fours from a few overs ago:

The England batters are enjoying a bit of pace on the ball from Tippoch. She's a quick off-spinner.
Tippoch 3-0-23-0
Captain Tippoch keeps herself on for a third over off off-spin, sending down the odd slingy sidearmer - I stress, utterly legally, as she keeps her arm perfectly straight.
Sciver and Knight are driving and sweeping fluently, but Tippoch is bowling to her field pretty well - she's only punished when Knight flogs a side-armer through the covers for four.
Thanks, Amy. If you're just joining us, this is how England lost both openers without scoring - before Natalie Sciver and Heather Knight led their recovery:
