I've heard back from Kate Cross - she says she landed on the sponge and heard a huge crack.
She's sent me a photo of her, still on gas and air at the hospital but she's got her thumbs up,.

That's up there with the best shots today.
Wyatt cuts Alleyne to third man - then Sciver effortlessly punches a four over the bowler's head.
Doesn't bother to run. Doesn't need to. Shot of the day, arguably - though we did see some lovely cover drives from Laura Wolvaardt.
A tip-and-run to mid-off means it's five runs from the over. But only one boundary from the innings so far.

For the first time in the tournament we can hear the West Indies fielders from the commentary box. They are up for this game.
Wyatt helps herself to a single. Seven fielders in the ring in these powerplay overs - and when Sciver knocks one to leg, it's notable that West Indies again throw to Sciver's end, knowing the value of her wicket.
Wyatt forces one backward of point, and hares back for a second run. Good hustle from England.
Wyatt 2, Sciver 4
Keeper Shemaine Campbelle summons a helmet to stand up to the stumps - which she then demolishes off the last ball of the over, but Sciver had kept her back foot grounded.

Just what England needed. Nat Sciver is striking them well at the minute.
Aaliyah Alleyne, probably right at the beginning of the international edition of the Cricketers' Who's Who on alphabetical order, is on so it's right-arm seam from both ends. Wyatt pushes a single to backward point, and there's a spring in the step of the Windies fielders - Deandra Dottin in particular came charging in at the fall of Beaumont's wicket.
Nat Sciver has been in great form of late, having scored 50, 59 not out and 36 in her three innings so far - and reaches out to guide Alleyne for four through the covers.

Tammy Beaumont does put too much pressure on herself. She wanted to open the batting and she's good enough to. It just didn't come off today.
Natalie Sciver in to face the fifth ball of the innings. Selman dives well to field off her own bowling - a great start for the team in maroon.

So my expert opinion on who is going to be player of the match wasn't great.

Well.

Well the change at the top hasn't worked then.
Beaumont lbw b Selman 0 (Eng 1-1)
Having been promoted to open, Beaumont drives and misses and is rapped on the pad, it looks pretty straight, umpire Claire Polosak's finger goes straight up - and they decide against a review. Beaumont gone second ball.
Eng 1-0
Danni Wyatt is off the mark with a single off the second ball - leaving Tammy Beaumont centre stage. She comes down the track, defends, and Selman throws the ball back at her stumps - but nothing doing. Not out.
Having left out their usual opening bowler Shamilia Connell, West Indies throw the ball to Shakera Selman. Let's go.

West Indies have the best anthem in this tournament by a country mile and they've also got an almighty team huddle going on. They get together around the boundary, shout 'West Indies, West Indies, West Indies!' and then make their way on to the field. They have an excellent T20 record against England - they've won three of their four World Cup matches against them.
And indeed, it's Tammy Beaumont walking out with Danni Wyatt to open for England.
