Andrew, you've got way too much time on your hands.

Stuart Broad starts his spell with a belter of a delivery that moves away from Brooks. More Broad magic coming up?

Using my phone's stopwatch I've found the fake crowd noise to be on a 1 minute 48 second loop, there's a characteristic high pitched laugh which gives it away. Once you've noticed the laugh you can't un-hear it!

I love Chris Woakes. He always does the dog work. He's always there or thereabouts.

    Target 312

The floodlights are on but a mile or so away at our office the sun is beaming through the windows. It may just be a nasty dark cloud that has built over Old Trafford.

Ben Stokes has finally been allowed to have some rest. Stuart Broad whips off his sweater and his floppy hat.

On TMS, Carlos Brathwaite is being lulled into agreeing to read the shipping forecast. Lovely stuff.

I feel for Shai Hope. He has been batting so well in this series. He's been similar to Joe Denly - absorbing the early pressure and then getting out.

Stuart Broad looks to be limbering up at mid-wicket.

    Minimum 37 overs remaining

Stokes has now gone from bowler to cheerleader as he offers Chris Woakes some encouragement.

I said this in the last match but Jason Holder manages to make stumps look so small when he stands at the crease. He is looking relatively solid but is keeping most of the shots in the bag.

I batted in Australia for a couple of Tests. As soon as I got to 20, Pattinson went around the wicket, there was fine leg, short leg, leg slip, and you knew what was coming. I was at number eight though, so they probably thought I'd been there too long.

Holder almost fell for the trap. He didn't fend it off, he just clipped it away. It's like he forgot Root was there.

Ben Stokes stands halfway down the pitch with his hands on his head after Jason Holder almost flicks the ball straight to Joe Root at leg gully. That would have been a gift.

England need four wickets to win

So much rests on the shoulders of these two batsmen. There is not much to come afterwards.

Shamarh Brooks has faced 100 balls now. He has seen wickets fall at the other end but still looks solid. He has played some great shots too.
