That is a lot of people to hold you to account...

Cornwall is only 93 runs away now.

Have that! That's what we like to see!

If Rahkeem Cornwall gets a century I'll break the covid rules and go shake his hand on the pitch.

    Naked.

  3. WI 182-7published at 60.2 overs

    Oh my, hello Rahkeem Cornwall.

That is a beautiful on-drive for four to get off the mark.

Stuart Broad just shakes his head and says 'fair play'.

Stuart Broad will continue after drinks.

It wasn't the first hour that England hoped for but they still lead by 191 runs, don't forget...

Joe Gibney: Before everyone hurls abuse at Chris Woakes, that's apparently only the second called no-ball of his Test career. Of all the times though to do it.

It's been a good first hour for the West Indies. I was surprised Anderson and Broad didn't start after Archer finished his five balls left from his over from last night.

  7. drinks break

    WI 178-7published at 60 overs

    A maiden from James Anderson.

Shane Dowrich is looking a bit shaky again as he ends up on his knees as he misses a back-foot drive.

That'll be drinks too. I mean, we only had them on the field nine balls ago when Jason Holder got out but why the hell not? Let's take more time out of the game...

  8. Postpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

Jason Holder will be disappointed that he couldn't go on but he managed to tick off the first objective that West Indies had this morning.

This had to be included, purely for the fact that he's done research to know that the average height has increased.

It's not a bad shout, but poor Ollie Pope. Anything that hits him below the waist would be out...

Raise height of stumps to 76.2cm. Average male height has increased by 10cm in the last 150 years. Lets get a few more LBWs.

Solid from Rahkeem Cornwall as he sees out the rest of Stuart Broad's over.

  12. How's stat?!published at 11:59 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

    Andy Zaltzman

Jason Holder has now passed 2,000 runs in Test crickets. He's only the fourth West Indian to bat at seven or lower to reach that mark - the other three were all keepers - Jeffrey Dujon, Ridley Jacobs and Dinesh Ramdin.

The big man, Rahkeem Cornwall, is in.

He has a first-class century so he's no mug with the bat.

Well that might have people wondering why Stuart Broad wasn't brought on earlier this morning.

    Holder lbw b Broad 46 (WI 178-7)

    Three reds!

How many takes does Stuart Broad strike in his first over? The delivery is nothing special but Jason Holder, like so many of his team-mates, is stuck on the crease and it's just out.

    England needed that.

I don't think height will be an issue here.

  18. West Indies reviewpublished at 58.3 overs

A beauty from Stuart Broad traps Jason Holder in front.

After a brief chat the West Indies captain reviews but, I think, more out of desperation. This looks good.

This has been the closest that England have come to finding the breakthrough this morning.

    Unlucky or poor cricket?

The West Indies' balcony was very animated throughout the look at Woakes' front foot. "There's nothing behind the line!"

In all the close-ups of frustrated England players, I couldn't help but notice that Woakes is just beginning to get a grey flash in his hair. A bit like Richard Madden.
