Pakistan are a step up from West Indies. Have they had enough quality preparation?

But I still think they should offer England more competition.

If Pakistan bat first and get over 300 that will test England, who have not done well seeing that sort of score on the board over the last few years.

If England bat first and the pitch is decent, they should be favourites.

Shai Hope's place will be up for debate.

If I had to pick a team for tomorrow with everyone available I would pick Shimron Hetmyer instead of Hope.

Shane Dowrich may be safe for now but Joshua da Silva is coming along. He can open as well but it may be too soon to put him there after only one year of first-class cricket.

West Indies captain Jason Holder on Test Match Special: "We're definitely disappointed and we were outplayed in this Test.

"We have a lot of positives to take but we didn't get a century in this series.

"It's a hard one to debate about the bowling attack - we wanted to win the series and so wanted to play our strongest team.

"We take away the fight we had. We had a lot of starts with the bat and our bowling has definitely stood up again in some tough conditions, especially here in Manchester.

"It was definitely hard staying in the same environment and not being able to leave. It's been a challenge mentally. But we're thankful that we were able to play some cricket and hopefully we can play some more at the end of the year.

"I'm looking forward to going home - it's been a while and I want to see the family again. Thanks for having us."

This is England's best bowling attack. But if Ben Stokes is fit to bowl, would England go without a spinner? I don't think so.

That means they'll have to decide between Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes for the first Test against Pakistan.

I'll be really interested to see which way they go.

England were 122-4 in the first innings - will they get out of that position against Pakistan's bowlers? I'm not so sure. So they may well need the extra batsman.

More from Stuart Broad on TMS: "It was really windy today, one of the windiest days we've played in in England. It was a bit unsettling and it was blowing me around a bit so I missed my lengths a bit. We didn't bowl particularly well as a unit until Chris Woakes got going. But we knew we would have to concede a few boundaries to pick up quick wickets today.

"It's breathtaking that both me and Jimmy got Kraigg Brathwaite for our 500th Test wicket. He told me the other day it was going to be Brathwaite. We're great friends and will be for life and that's something we'll smile about for a long time."

Steve Tredup: I suspect that years from now, people will be saying that they were at the ground when Broad took his 500th wicket.

It's just been shown on the big screen at Old Trafford that over £750,000 has been raised for the Ruth Strauss Foundation during this Test.

England bowler Stuart Broad on Test Match Special: "I was frustrated in Southampton and I was really down that week but I've got some brilliant people around me and I knew I was bowling well. It was great to get the opportunity here to get some wickets.

"I feel great, I'm looking forward to a little break at home but I want to get back playing again. When you feel in great rhythm you want to keep bowling overs.

"I got the answers and explanations I wanted from Chris Silverwood and Ed Smith. It was unrealistic the same XI would play all six Tests this summer. But I was still disappointed not to make the team. I'm a competitive person and if I feel I have a point to prove, I will perform.

"It wasn't like the management didn't think I could do it anymore - my record over the last 18 months has been pretty good. When you're 34 it is easier to write you off but I hope I've quietened the writers-offers for a while.

"You do put yourself under pressure, especially in this bio-bubble. It was tough at the Ageas Bowl when I couldn't get away from it."

I don't understand any negative chat about Dom Sibley at opener - he's not going to clear the bars but England have been crying out for this type of player for years.

The spin department will be a debate - we didn't find out much of Dom Bess in this series.

In fact I don't think we've learned all that much about England in the series because they are just so good in these conditions.

The Windies batsmen need to learn to look to get their front foot forward - not a massive stride but just to get their head over the ball.

A lot of them have been too happy to play expansive drives from the crease.

Ollie Pope survived a close lbw shout in this game because he got a good stride in - that's a good lesson for the West Indies batters to learn.

Here's the moment that Stuart Broad took the final West Indies and wrapped a 269-run and series win for England.

More from Root on TMS: "It's been an amazing effort from West Indies - they played really good hard cricket. The way they've gone about it and how Jason leads them is a testament to them as a team.

"To give the world international cricket during a very tough time for people across the globe is special and they've played some very good cricket as well.

"The guys are all looking forward to seeing their families now but I'm not sure if I'll get a haircut in before the Pakistan series!"

The West Indies bowling line-up is settled and the pleasing thing is how they saw what was working and learned from Test to Test.

The batting line-up just wasn't skilled enough to cope with Stuart Broad and James Anderson.

That's not disrespect to them - plenty of better batting line-ups have also struggled against those two here.

They need to go away and come back a more knowledgeable side. The batsmen need to really improve from this.

West Indies captain Jason Holder: "A lot of guys got starts but they didn't quite go on and that's the difference - the England players did. But credit to all of my players, I must commend them for all the effort they've put in."

Should you have made more changes: "It's hard to say, we won the first Test with our best team and we tried to put out our best team every day. We were trying to back our best team to do the job for us."

On what's next for the Windies: "We're not quite sure what's happening with the calendar, everything is uncertain for us. It's been a blessing to come over here and play some cricket. It's just about the batsman scoring more when we do next play, we can't ask much more from the bowlers."

On how the bio-bubble was: "It has been mentally challenging. It could be this way for a little while so we've got to find a way to make it work but hopefully things start to ease around the world."
