    I'm delighted to tell you that Stuart Broad spent so long appealing that lbw that he missed the umpire giving it out, and was midway through asking Joe Root to review it before someone made him aware. Such innovation from the great man. He's always adding to his game.

    A superb innings. An occupation of the crease for a lot of it but as wickets fell at the other end, he started to play some shots. He's put his team in a strong position.

    Younis Khan gives Shan Masood a standing ovation as he leaves the pitch. Just a bit of nip back from Stuart Broad and a fine innings is brought to an end. He struggled early on but Masood has timed this knock absolutely brilliantly.

    That was missing leg. It squared him up but it was more of a theatrical appeal from Archer.
