It's slow going for Pakistan because it's so difficult. Some balls are swinging and some balls aren't. There's certainly plenty out there for the seamers.
Rizwan 17, Yasir 0
Mohammad Rizwan picks up another single through mid-wicket. He's played a patient, composed innings so far, I wonder at what wicket falling he'll think it's time to start playing a few more shots?

Buttler gets two hands to that and parries it over the crossbar. He should be catching that.
Calm down everyone... it would have been a very good grab if Jos Buttler had hung on.
It's dug in by Stuart Broad and attempting to pull, Mohammad Rizwan, gloves it down the legside and Buttler diving to his left gets two hands on it but can only parry it.
That must have been when we were waiting for play to start this morning.
There's no chance Younus Khan stopped taking notes in his notepad to play with Yasir's hair...

Stuart Broad bowled that wicket delivery from a little bit closer to the stumps - that change in angle is probably what drew Babar Azam into playing. It's really intelligent bowling from Broad. He may be as good now as he's ever been.
England try to get the ball changed but Michael Gough is having absolutely none of it and throws the ball straight back.

Yasir will come out swinging. That might be the best way to play.
Yasir Shah isn't going to get out wondering I don't reckon. He has a big booming drive at Stuart Broad first up but doesn't get close to connecting.

It's a beautiful delivery. He had to play - it squared him up. It was a very well executed 47 in tough conditions.

He nipped one back earlier and that one held its line. Babar had to play. England finally have that breakthough - and the wicket they really wanted.
Babar c Buttler b Broad 47 (Pak 158-6)
Babar Azam isn't going to be getting Pakistan to 225...
That's a beauty from Stuart Broad. It's that teasing fifth-stump line and England finally draw the edge and Jos Buttler takes a good catch behind the stumps.
Babar contemplates a review because I think it also takes a decent flick off the thigh pad on the way through but he decides against it.

Babar is a high-class player and it's been so hard for him to get to 47. If it's hard for him, it's going to be hard for everyone. If he can sneak his team to about 225, Pakistan are going to be in this contest.
James Anderson has been called up for a no-ball by the TV umpire. He's not happy about it, but he's a far way over the line.
Babar is absolutely peppering the leg side in this innings - he's scored 41 of his 47 on the on side so far.

Buckers676: We are killing the game by having absolutely ridiculous breaks (lunch) after being off the field for 2 hours, cricket needs to wake up!
Tidy start from Stuart Broad.
He beats the outside edge of Babar Azam as the Pakistan middle-order batsman looks to defend. There's a bit of wobble after it beats the bat and Jos Buttler fumbles it behind the stumps.
Babar keeps the strike as he flicks an inswinger into the on side.
Stuart Broad is going to get us under way.
Babar Azam, who is on 45, is on strike.
Thanks JL.
England had a couple of ropey hours post-lunch in the first Test last week but they can't afford another now or Pakistan will have worked themselves into a decent position.
Joe Root's side didn't bowl badly at all in the hour-long session we've had - it was just one of those spells where the ball wasn't catching the edge. They will hope that changes pretty quickly after the interval.
Excellent point Simon. Have you been to where that's filmed? Highclere Castle, lovely spot. Saw Elton John in concert there once rather incongruously.
Anyway, in the absence of an award-winning steak and kidney from an eminent Bognor Regis pie-makers it's time for a tuna crunch wrap. Over to Callum Matthews for the afternoon session.
