Pakistan added 60 runs for the last two wickets. Mohammad Abbas scored two off 20 while Naseem Shah scored one off 10. Mohammad Rizwan scored 48 and there were some extras too - it was a superb tail-marshalling effort from the Pakistan wicketkeeper.

Seven fours for Rizwan in that 139-ball innings, his second Test fifty.

Plenty happening on the opening day in the latest round of Bob Willis Trophy matches, including Warwickshire being bowled out for 121 by Somerset and Surrey losing five wickets in the 24.2 overs possible at Hampshire's picturesque temporary home ground at Arundel Castle.

Pakistan add 13 this morning then. Finishing 236 all out, after some interesting strokeplay from Rizwan.

It was a comfortable catch despite the fact it was hanging up there against the backdrop of the clouds.

England will be happy with that - they've taken the final wicket relatively quickly.

Rizwan c Crawley b Broad 72 (Pak 236 all out)

Pakistan's innings ends as Rizwan attempts to work Broad to the leg side and skies a leading edge to cover. Simple chance for Crawley.

This is some innings from Mohammad Rizwan because the conditions are so in favour of the ball. It was a glorious shot and he just let the ball come to him - it was wonderful timing.

  8. Pak 236-9published at 91 overs

And Rizwan continues the fun with a stylish stroke off the back foot at Anderson that brings him a seventh boundary and takes him closer to his Test best of 95.

Stuart Broad will be very disappointed with that over. Mohammad Rizwan has a big smile on his face.

  10. Pak 231-9published at 90 overs

Young Naseem is enjoying himself out there, the 17-year-old is only his sixth Test and has a top score of seven, but he is full of smiles as he prods speculatively at Broad at 86mph. England's opening bowler did not quite get the radar right there and the innings continues.

James Anderson is bowling that in-between length that looks really nice but it's missing the outside edge by two or three inches. He's going to have to be that little bit fuller.

  13. Pak 231-9published at 89 overs

Rizwan, who was out first ball in his maiden Test inning in New Zealand in 2016, launches down the wicket at Anderson again and it skews safely away off a thick edge away to the square cover boundary. Broad will now have a chance at the last man.

I can't wait to see England batting. I think them batting against these bowlers, in these conditions, will be fascinating.

  15. Pak 225-9published at 88 overs

They will attempt to get 98 overs in today and tomorrow. The afternoon session will be extended until 15:55 BST.

Stuart Broad takes up the attack from the Pavilion End and also has just the one delivery at the number 11, which Naseem doesn't need to concern himself with.

It's going to be difficult with the weather but it would be really interesting if Azhar Ali went over to England and went '240, do you fancy it or not?' what would they say?

  17. Pak 224-9published at 87 overs

An early signal of intent from Rizwan, he charges down the wicket and tries to hoick the opening ball out of the ground. No contact made though. Pakistan scramble a quick single and Naseem survives the final delivery.

I get the feeling that the groundstaff are taking the mick out of us. They must have read or heard a lot of the criticism yesterday.
