James Anderson is actually getting less swing in this Test than in any other previous Test this summer. Not that it's making too much of a different to the end result!

There's some good bounce for Jimmy Anderson, especially given how slow this pitch looked for the first few days.
He tempts Fawad Alam into a half-flirt outside off stump, before a stray onto the pads is whipped away for a smattering of runs.
All I'm saying is, if Stuart Broad appeals, it probably isn't out.

Not only has Fawad Alam spent his decade away from Test cricket coming up with his idiosyncratic style, he's played for a few clubs in England. A couple of years ago, playing a Lancashire League game for Clitheroe against Colne, he got timed out. Here's the scorecard., external
Lunch has been pushed back to 13:30, time fans, so we should get a full morning session in.
A beauty from Stuart Broad, beating Azhar Ali all ends up, and he's done well to not get a nick on that.

If they can see off another 10 overs, once the ball gets a bit old, they could settle in. They just need to get through this threat.

Both these batsmen are under intense pressure. They're very much playing for their careers.
Now it's Azhar Ali's turn to be struck on the thigh, playing across his front pad, but once again, it's too high to trouble the umpire.
Azhar ends the over with a little tickle outside off stump. Testing times.

Fawad Alam is a very accomplished first-class player in Pakistan. He did impress when he first played for Pakistan in 2009 but then fell out of favour and didn't get a look in again until now.
Azhar 7, Fawad 2
Stuart Broad finds the outside edge of Fawad Alam's bat, the batsman pushing forward, but it goes on the bounce to Dom Sibley at third slip.
Fawad misses a straight ball and is struck high on the thigh and for one, horrible moment it looks like Joe Root is going to review, but he, sensibly, opts not to.

Bob Hawkins: When Stuart wants a review to a ‘not out’ - Joe, keep your hands in your pockets.
Rachel T: Never go into a casino with Stuart Broad.

Last night we enjoyed a barbecue very kindly arranged by our colleagues from Sky. With the smell of grilled meat wafting around Southampton, England batting coach Jonathan Trott appeared, looking wistfully at the food. He was invited in, but bubble restrictions meant he had to head off to join the rest of the England camp. Poor Trotty.
England have now only got one review left which seems wasteful. But then, they do only need another six wickets and Pakistan are going nowhere fast.
Fawad Alam is off the mark! His first run in international cricket for 11 years! Lovely.
Here's wicket number 597 for Jimmy Anderson.

You have to enjoy Broad's enthusiasm.

Azhar Ali survives.

It looked like a poor review. I don't know what it is about Stuart Broad sometimes but he manages to convince himself and others, especially to those who are closer to the action.
Yep, the ball is trailing down the leg side. Missing the stumps, and Azhar Ali survives.
Probably don't listen to Stuart, lads.
This doesn't feel quite right...

It was full but I think it was angling down leg side.
