    Yes. Yes they are.

Oh, England do not look happy. Joe Root's going to have to bowl Dom Bess at one end and probably himself from the other.

You'd just go off, wouldn't you? You've found a weakness - or a proposed weakness - in your opponent's game, and now you can't carry out your plan?

It's very dark out there. Without the floodlights, we wouldn't have any play.

Are they really going to say, after nearly three hours of no cricket, that Joe Root isn't allowed to bowl his pace bowlers?

The umpires are talking about the light, and now they're heading over to Joe Root...

Babar Azam played well in Australia and dealt with the short ball from Mitchell Starc. He's an aggressive player. He might not take it on straight away but he can nail anything short.

  6. Pak 122-2published at 42 overs

Short from Jofra Archer and Babar Azam doesn't deal with it all too well, flapping it around the corner as the ball comes rearing up towards his armpit. That wasn't controlled, but he'll get a single for his troubles.

Archer had started bowling some short stuff to Babar before the break to unsettle him. It will be interesting to see what he does here.

A leg-side heavy field, which means one thing...

...Short, and Babar Azam tucks himself underneath it.

It is dark at Old Trafford, with the lights fully kicking in.

Jofra Archer will complete the over he started what feels like an eternity ago.

Eight England players have been involved in a game of head tennis. Four of them on the dressing-room balcony, three 20ft below on the ground.

The game was to get all eight to touch the ball, ending with a touch into a bin.

The four up top, then nodded down, where it all fell apart. Judging from the cheer I've just heard, they've cracked it.
