  1. Leicestershire declare with an over to sparepublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 3 August 2020

Leicestershire (409-8 dec) lead Lancashire (322) by 87 runs

Leicestershire's mammoth first innings at New Road finally comes to a close as they choose to declare an over before their allotted 120 overs.

They take an 87-run lead over the Red Rose thanks to Ben Slater's 172 and Colin Ackermann's 94.

Very hard graft for all those Lancashire bowlers indeed.

  2. Hampshire hanging onpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 3 August 2020

    Hampshire (153 & 99-6) need 146 more runs to beat Sussex (176 & 221)

Lewis McManus and James Fuller are standing firm for Hampshire as they attempt to keep up their hopes of chasing down 245 at Hove.

They've added 28 for the seventh wicket so far.

  3. Worcestershire make early breakthroughpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 3 August 2020

    Gloucestershire (267 & 27-1) trail Worcestershire (428-5) by 134 runs

It's been a good day for Worcestershire, who earlier reached 428-5 in their first 120 overs thanks to some big hitting towards the end from Brett D'Oliveira (92*) and Ben Cox (45*).

They've now dismissed Miles Hammond early in Gloucestershire's second innings - Daryl Mitchell taking the catch in the slips from Charlie Morris' bowling.

Gloucestershire need a partnership if they are to keep the Pears on their toes.

A horrendous start for Glamorgan as opener Nick Selman falls lbw with the third ball of the innings.

A straight Craig Overton ball hits him plumb on the pad and it feels like just a matter of time before Somerset finish this off.

Glamorgan, remember, need 456 runs to win - or to survive the next day and a half at Taunton.

  5. Game turned on its headpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 3 August 2020

    Durham (103 & 229-7) lead Yorkshire (199) by 133 runs

    BBC Newcastle at Emirates, Chester-le-Street

Matthew Fisher has turned this game on its head and it's the new ball which has done the damage.

Durham were 215-3 when he took the ball at the start of the 91st over.

His first ball ripped through Alex Lees, but an inside edge deflected it away for four runs. However he bowled Lees, off stump, at the end of the over for 106.

The yorker which saw off Jack Burnham for two will be doing the rounds on social media for years.

Burnham ended up falling over as the ball smashed into his stumps and did a forwards roll along the track. One of the stumps was broken!

Ned Eckersley and Paul Coughlin then fell lbw for ducks as Fisher took 4-3 in four overs.

  6. Fisher reels Durham inpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 3 August 2020

    Durham (103 & 229-7) lead Yorkshire (199) by 133 runs

Make that four wickets in four overs for Matt Fisher with the new ball.

Paul Coughlin is the latest Durham victim, falling lbw for a six-ball duck.

The hosts had been 207-2 but are now 229-7 and Yorkshire are licking their lips.

  7. Somerset finally declarepublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 3 August 2020

    Somerset (296 & 290-8) lead Glamorgan (131) by 455 runs

Somerset's tail-enders have some fun playing some big strokes at Taunton before Tom Abell finally decides to declare their second innings on 290-8.

In among all that was a maiden first-class half-century for Ben Green, who has come into this match as a concussion substitute for George Bartlett.

That means Somerset have set Glamorgan a nominal 456 to win this one.

Alternatively, they've got a day and a half to survive for a draw.

  8. Fisher does damage with new ballpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 3 August 2020

    Durham (103 & 225-6) lead Yorkshire (199) by 129 runs

Yorkshire's Matt Fisher has three wickets from three overs with the new ball.

Having already dismissed Durham centurion Alex Lees he bowls Jack Burnham with a yorker and two balls later gets Ned Eckersley for a duck.

Durham all of a sudden are six down with just a 129-run advantage.

Ackermann run out Jennings 92 (Leicestershire 359-6 v Lancashire 322)

That is some great fielding from Lancashire's Keaton Jennings.

As Colin Ackermann pushes for a second run Jennings throws from in the deep and Alex Davies takes the bails off for a run-out.

Ackermann goes for 92 and Leicestershire are 359-6.

  10. Yorkshire make a breakthroughpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 3 August 2020

    Durham (103 & 221-4) lead Yorkshire (199) by 125 runs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle at Emirates, Chester-le-Street

Having failed to take a wicket in the morning session, Yorkshire have struck twice this afternoon.

Debutant David Bedingham was on 77 when he tried to play a Steve Patterson ball to the leg side and fell lbw. It ended a partnership with Alex Lees of 136 runs.

When the two came together last night, Durham were still 25 behind at 71-2 and were 207-3 when he was out.

The new ball was taken after 90 overs, moments after Lees had reached the 16th first-class century of his career.

The first ball from Matthew Fisher was a rasper and went right through him.

But an inside edge took it for four. The final ball of the over was equally as good and removed his off stump when he was on 106.

His former team-mates will have been happy to see the back of Lees who faced 263 balls.

    Alsop b Carson 27 (Hampshire 153 & 71-6 v Sussex 176 7 221)

When Samit Patel is on-form with the bat he can be destructive and he gets his second half-century of the match from just 40 balls.

His knock includes seven boundaries and Nottinghamshire are on the attack towards the end of their second innings.

Derbyshire have a massive task on their hands to avoid defeat.

The new ball does the trick for Yorkshire - they get their man as Alex Fisher uproots the off-stump of Alex Lees.

He goes for a magnificent 106 which has put Durham in a promising position at Chester-le-Street.

They lead by 75 runs and have six more wickets in hand to set a challenging target.

Oh no! This is not very intelligent cricket here from Hampshire's Ian Holland.

After passing 150 he struck back-to-back sixes as Leicestershire upped the tempo at New Road, but he's been caught by Josh Bohannon at mid-off off the bowling of Tom Bailey.

The Foxes have 13 overs left of their innings and are trying to score quick runs to build a lead.
