    Leicestershire 199 & 220 v Derbyshire 408 & 4-0

Billy Godleman and Luis Reece come out to bat for Derbyshire and immediately the latter strikes a lovely four.

    Just eight to win now.

    Thompson c Carter b Chappell 33 (Notts 355 v Yorkshire 264 & 240-6

    Jordan ThompsonImage source, Rex Features

    Notts needed that!

Jordan Thompson is gone, caught at second slip by Matthew Carter off the bowling of Zak Chappell.

That ends a frustrating 54-run stand from the hosts' perspective.

  3. Postpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Gloucestershire 210 & 191-6 v Warks 247

The Bears are ramping up the pressure in Bristol.

Gloucestershire have added just one run since Gareth Roderick fell nearly 10 overs ago.

I know it's a cliche, but it really does feel like something significant is about to happen.

There are eleven overs left until stumps.

  4. Postpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Kent 530-1 v Sussex 332 & 158-9

It's going to make no difference to the outcome at Canterbury but Sussex's last-wicket pair of Stuart Meaker and Mitch Claydon have been together for more than half an hour now.

Sussex still trail by 40 as the Kent spinners go in search of that final winning wicket.

  5. wicket

Leicestershire all out for 220published at 17:35 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Leicestershire 199 & 220 v Derbys 408

Well that took a bit longer than expected.

Matthew Critchley bowls Chris Wright for 23 to finish with career-best figures of 6-73.

Derbyshire need just 12 runs to win with around 10 overs left in the day.

They could have wrapped this game up an hour ago but for Wright's 52-run partnership alongside Harry Swindells who finishes with 41 not out.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:34 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Organ c Simpson b Murtagh 10 (Middlesex v Hants 29-1, target 158)

    Breakthrough for Middlesex!

Hampshire opener Felix Organ is squared up by Tim Murtagh and nicks the Irish seamer behind.

  7. new ball

New ballpublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Notts 355 v Yorkshire 264 & 230-5

As expected, Notts do take the new ball.

Spinner Matthew Carter is still in the attack. I expect Zak Chappell will replace Samit Patel at the other end.

Jonathan Tattersall and Jordan Thompson's partnership is currently 44.

    Nottinghamshire need a wicket.

  8. Postpublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Worcs 455-8 & 36-0 v Glamorgan 374

It's slow going for Worcestershire at New Road in their second innings.

Jake Libby, who made 184 first time around, has five from 49 balls.

    The Pears lead by 118.

  9. Postpublished at 17:27 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Leicestershire 199 & 215-9 v Derbyshire 408

Harry Swindells pulls Leicestershire ahead on the scoreboard and moves to 40, eclipsing his previous first-class best of 36.

A lovely cameo from the 21-year-old, can he get his maiden 50?

    The hosts lead by six.

So, the last-wicket stands at Canterbury and Grace Road are holding off victories for Kent and Derbyshire at the moment.

Why does that always seem to happen? A flurry of wickets, then you can't get the last man.

  11. Postpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Essex v Surrey 4-0 (target 337)

Mark Stoneman gets the Surrey chase under way with a thick inside edge down to the boundary off Jamie Porter.

    Four in the book.

  12. Postpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Leicestershire 199 & 209-9 v Derbyshire 408

The scores are level at Grace Road. Derbyshire will have to bat again!

Harry Swindells (36) and Chris Wright (21) have put on an unlikely 40-run last wicket stand.

Derbyshire's players don't seem too concerned though.

  13. Postpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Middlesex v Hants 22-0 (target 158)

Just the start Hampshire would have wanted in their chase of 158 at Radlett.

Joe Weatherley has struck three early boundaries. 136 more needed for victory.

  14. Postpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Notts 355 v Yorkshire 264 & 225-5

Just three more overs until the new ball is available at Trent Bridge.

I'm certain Notts captain Steven Mullaney will take it.

Yorkshire's batsmen look set with Jonathan Tattersall on 30 and Jordan Thompson on 24.

The lead is 134. The visitors will be looking for 200+.

Jack Harrison: I had to look up the last time a county won a match having lost only one wicket - turns out (ignoring rain-induced forfeits) it was when Warwickshire beat Gloucestershire at Edgbaston in 1974! This is a thrashing of historic proportions.

Thanks for saving us a lot of work there Jack. Kent need one more wicket to achieve such a feat.

  16. Surrey need 337 to beat Essexpublished at 17:11 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Essex 262 & 261 v Surrey 187

Amar Virdi finishes off Essex's second innings, removing Aaron Beard caught behind, and it means Surrey face a target of 337 to win.

Tough, hugely tough in fact, but not impossible.

  17. Postpublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Leicestershire 199 & 199-9 v Derbyshire 408

It's consecutive boundaries for Foxes number 11 Chris Wright.

He moves to 20 and Leicestershire trail by 10.

I think Derbyshire may have to bat again you know. They should still get this wrapped up before close of play however.

A minimum of 16 overs remain.

    S Cook lbw b Finch 0 (Essex 262 & 255-9 v Surrey 187)

    Gone first ball.

Adam Finch fires one into the pads of Sam Cook and it's given.

Last man Jamie Porter survives the hat-trick delivery.
